Has anyone heard of LI invitations turning up as botmail through another security software? Could there server possibly have been breached? If not I better get back to cleaning out contacts.

It isn't really our position to comment on third-party scan results. It's possible the email in question is a clever forgery, or it could be a legitimate LinkedIn invitation. I'd suggest relying on Webroot's determination. If you click the link in the email, and it's taking you to a phishing site, Webroot should catch it. Otherwise, as long as the address in the address bar starts with https://www.linkedin.com/ it's LinkedIn.
