Today, André Borschberg’s legacy at Solar Impulse will be remembered as he closed Solar Impulse’s penultimate flight of the round-the-world tour with a flyover of the epic Egyptian Pyramids.

That's pretty cool and reminds me that I need to get a quote on putting solar panels on the roof at home 🙂

As long as they don't fit electric motors to it as well so that it has the option to fly away, then I think that you will be OK, Nic ;)

That would be funny if my house flew away like in Up 🙂

It would unless you were in it at the time...;)

The zero-fuel aeroplane, Solar Impulse, has left the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on the last leg of its global tour.
The aircraft should take about 48 hours to reach Abu Dhabi, UAE - the place it began the circumnavigation in March 2015.
Pilot Bertrand Piccard is at the controls one final time.
His flight ought to be fairly straightforward, although his team has some concerns about how the heat in the Middle East may affect the plane.

The first round-the-world solar powered flight has been completed, after the Solar Impulse aircraft touched down in Abu Dhabi.
Bertrand Piccard piloted the plane for a final time, steering it safely from the Egyptian capital Cairo to the UAE.
He has been taking turns at the controls with Swiss compatriot Andre Borschberg, with the mission aiming to promote renewable energy.
It brings to an end a voyage that began in Abu Dhabi on 9 March last year

Solar Impulse 2 has completed the first round-the-world flight by a solar-powered aeroplane, after touching down in Abu Dhabi early on Tuesday.
The final leg of the feat, aimed at showcasing the potential of renewable energy, was a bumpy one, with turbulence driven by hot desert air leaving the solo pilot, Bertrand Piccard, fighting with the controls.
