What does this mean: LNK File (.lnk)

My laptop was recently infected with a virus that turned all my internet file links to .ink. I downloaded WEBROOT in hopes to remove the virus and turn those files infected back to their default file type but this did not happen, how can I get them back to the correct file type now?
