disable Identity Protection

I have been having some weird keyboard issues (no num locks, shift locks, or random characters when typing in a password field ) when using some HTTPS sites, including our intranet.  The issues are completely random and I have no way to recreate them, but based on some of the other items I have search for it appears that it may be related with Identity Shield.  What would I be giving up if I disable this?  How big of a deal is this?   What is the best way to disable it?  Does anyone else disable this?

Sounds like something funky with your computer and Identity Shield. I would definitely troubleshoot it.

In the endpoint console put the client into Unmanaged mode if you don't want to customize your own policy just to troubleshoot this
Check for updates on the endpoint, then go in and disable Identity Shield. Reboot.

See if that solves the issues then call or open a ticket with business support.
