I would like to know if it's necessary to exclude the databases from being scanned. I can't find any info that specifically mentions Exchange or SQL; it's been common practice to exclude these from AV scanning. I would appreciate some clarification.

Hi Johnny,

There should be no need to exclude folders with Webroot SecureAnywhere.  If for any reason you're running into any issues with how Webroot is treating the contents of a directory, please open a support case.  Such issues are typically easily resolvable by having our threat engineers whitelist any Good files in those folders that WSA may be looking at with a high degree of suspicion.
I'm going to install this weekend, thanks.
