You can edit the details (name, contact details, time zone and account type) associated with registered admin accounts by using the Webroot management console.

The time zone setting impacts the reported time for the various events in the management console.

The account type setting controls console access and there are 3 available options:
  • GSM Super Admin - can access all sites and add/remove/edit admins
  • GSM Limited Admin - can only view the sites list
  • No Access – can only view site(s) to which they've been given view permissions
NOTE: In order to modify account details, an admin account needs to be assigned the GSM Super Admin Account Type.

Admin accounts that have not completed registration will not be able to be updated. If the admin account has a yellow triangle displayed next to their name in the Admins page, they need to complete registration. To resend the registration email, use the Resend Confirmation button.

To edit admin account details and permissions in the Webroot management console:

1. Log into the Webroot management console.

2. Click the Admins tab.

3. In the left part of the screen under the Admin column, find and click the name of the admin you want to modify, which displays the account details in a pane to the right.

4. In the Details panel, you can view and edit the following:
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Phone
  • Time Zone — Enter the nearest major city, then select the proper time zone from the drop-down menu
  • Account Type — From the drop-down menu, select one of the following:
>>GSM Super Admin — Can access all sites, and add, remove, and edit admins
>>GSM Limited Admin — Can only view GSM sites
>>No Access — Can view the site(s) to which they've been given view permissions

5. Once the details have been configured, click the Site Permissions tab in the right panel to review and update the site permissions for this admin account.

6. For each site, click the radio button to set the access, options include:
  • Admin – full access and control of the site and site settings
  • View Only – can view settings only and not make changes
  • No Access – no site access
7. When you are finished editing the Details tab, click the Save button to commit the changes.
