Browser Add-on/Extension availability?
I have read some conflicting things on the business side here regarding browser add-on/extensions. We are not seeing anything in any browser getting install when we install the agent on an endpoint. Should we be seeing an automatic installation of something? If not, is there something that should be manually install? End users are accustomed to seeing an A/V integrated toolbar and search result threat ratings. Are these available with WSA Business? If not what do you all recommend that can be deployed alongside the agent?
Microsoft releases Windows 8.1 User Readiness Toolkit for IT workers
Many businesses are currently trying to upgrade their PCs from Windows XP to a more modern version before XP loses its support on April 8th. Today, Microsoft has released what it is calling the Windows 8.1 User Readiness Toolkit, which is designed to help IT administrators help their fellow co-workers easily move to using the latest version of Windows. The Microsoft Springboard Series blog has more information on what the toolkit contains. It includes things like email templates that can be sent to all of a business's employees with tips and information about Windows 8.1. The emails are designed to be timed so that they can be sent out on specific dates (10 days before Windows 8.1 is used, 5 days before, Day 1 of the
Is there a way to get email notification whenever webroot endpoint block an application/process ?
I'm looking for a way to get email notification whenever endpoint block an application or process and add them to deny list? I'm new to webroot and having difficulty finding out which process or application has been blocked. We have over 3000 endpoint deployments. Appreciate any help. Regards.
Cant remove/white-list infection
I have a client whose webroot installation says his ACPI. - Webroot can't clean or delete the file - I've booted off a boot disk & removed the file, when I do, windows doesn't boot up. - I tried replacing the file with another version of ACPI.sys, but windows again won't boot. - I tried getting the MD5 for the file and creating an over-ride, but the file still shows up as an infection - The infection doesn't show up in my console, the PC looks clean in the console, the infection just shows up on the desktop.
I am a sysadmin for a medical group and tried "webroot" on 3 test machines.. While initially happy, their are a couple game stoppers... "waiting for webroot extention" absolute disaster.... The 3-6 second delay is awful.. While it may not sould like much, some of our machines must bounce around insurance sites at a rapid pace and I had insuracne billers light fire to my office over this... Secondly, stopping it was not exactly what I would call intuitive.. Finally uninstalled webroot (did not kill off this issue) and then killed off the extension in Chrome.. (two step process? does not seem quite right but I could not find any documentation on this).. Lastly... while I can appreciate security, wtf is this security code thing on logon? really? while I do not mind secondary layers of security, lets try to stick with something already established and working? Really silly SNAFU's but I have my hands full
Getting more device info
Hello, A Windows machine has appeared in our Webroot back-end which I can't identify. The hostname is not something we would use in our company. Is there a way of getting more device info from the Webroot back-end besides hostname? Something like last logged in user, device model or serial number would be great.
Feature Enhancement Requests
Hi everybody, I received a support ticket from a customer who had a number of feature enhancement requests so I decided to post them here to let the rest of the community vote on them. And they are as follows: 1. It would be nice if you could remove the ”Deactivated Endpoints” from the Group View under Group Management. It’s very confusing to have that number in the middle of all the groups. Maybe move it somewhere else? 2. Also, it would be nice if you could move clients to a group when you have selected ”All endpoints” view. 3. Another nice feature would be to connect a policy to a group so that the policy is enabled automatically if a client is moved into that group. Thanks guys, Regards. Peter
What happend in 188.8.131.52?
Hello After the transition to v 184.108.40.206 something happend with Webroot impact at CPU and RAM durrign scan. Pentium 4 and 2 GB RAM Before: about max 15-20% CPU, 10-15 MB, normal scan time about 1 min 30 sek - max 2 min Now - about 30-50 % CPU, 45-55 MB, scan time about 3 min. What happend here?
It appears when sorting fields in Group Management, All Endpoints screen, that its only sorting based on the page and not the entire group of endpoints. For example I want to sort the "status" field and bring all infected machines to the top. Am I doing something wrong? Rich

Looking for a deskphone headset? Look no further!
So I have decided tor review the Plantronics Savi W730-M. The headset is optimized for Lync, which I've used and it works swimmingly. You can have it paired with the PC, deskphone, and cellphone, all at the same time. The headset connection is DECT, giving you range. The compatibility of bluetooth via a deskphone, bluetooth or USB connection, all give you the ability to pair a ton of different devices. The sound quality is excellent on the device, even at a fair distance away. I have been outside, with the receiver's base in the basement, getting the mail, and on a call, all with no call quality issues. I have been nothing but impressed with this headset. I highly recommend it, with a 5/5 stars or 10/10 review. How Do You Write Your Resume?
One common thing in IT that we all struggle with at one point or another is getting our blasted resumes in order. There are an infinite number of formatting styles to use, and every person does it a little differently. I was curious what everyone's general formatting style was? I published an article on this very topic. You can find it here!
