Webroot billing with Autotask PSA
Hi all, We are getting pretty frustrated because of no automation of billing the correct webroot agents to the customer. We’re working with Autotask PSA and when a customer takes Webroot or change the number of agents it is beeing changed in the WebRoot portal. Next we send a email to our admin who has to change within the contract of Autotask of that specific customer the numer of webroot agents. Sometimes it happens that the email has nog been read or someone forgot to sent an email resulting in not a correct invoice to the customer and not paid costs for us.Which possibillities offers webroot to automate this? Kind Regards, Niels

Favor low cpu usage policy, experience?
Hello - I recently started manage Webroot in our environment, and I noticed none of the active policies have this “Favor low CPU usage” setting enabled. Anyone got any experience with this setting? I figured there had to be a reason why it is disabled. Maybe it doesn’t do much, or maybe the scan will be too slow? The setting for “Favor low RAM usage” is enabled in most policies. Thanks!
Agent uninstall command from console not working
HI: I am testing the usage of the WSA for buisness and the agent commands. One of which I need to use is the “uninstall command” so that I can remove the program from computers owned by users that leave the company, or for any other multitude of reasons. The agent refresh is set at 15 minutes. I manually refresh the WSA client. Nothing happens, I even reboot. No over one hour hour later still nothing. Is this a feature that is expected to work? Version 184.108.40.206 Windows 10 1909 18363,778. I can’t distribute the software if I cannot uninstall the agents. Any help is welcome.

Hi Team, We recently purchased the webroot secure anywhere for one of our enterprise servers. The agent was installed on the server with the new keycode received. The finance team lost the email with the keycode but the server still has the agent installed and shows only the first 4 digits of the keycode applied. The finance team even does not remember the first name / last name used for registration as they work on multiple things. We only have two things: Th first 4 digits of the keycode and the purchase date. Please help.Regards
Interface must have changed, there is no "PC Security" Tab?
I need to remove two retired machines from WR, but all the instructions say to click on PC Security. Does Not Exist. The tabs I see are: Dashboard | Sites | Admins | Groups | Reports |Please provide instructions to remove machines using current, January 2021 interface. I need to use those licenses on new machines.I logged in with Admin credsI uninstalled through appwiz.cpl, but webroot STILL show the machines, reports they’ve been recently scanned, and are clean. Clean? They are DEAD. RETIRED. I set the policy to unmanaged, but the console just won’t let go.Do i have to plug them back in, and seek & destroy in the registry? I bet if I stop paying for the licenses, they’ll stop on a dime.
Google Chrome stops working until Webroot is reinstalled
I have Webroot deployed across a large number of endpoints. Every once in a while a few people will report that Google Chrome will not open. As soon as I uninstall Webroot, Chrome works just fine. And then when I reinstall Webroot things are back to normal. Is this a known issue, any suggestions for how best to deal with it?
How do I disable Webroot on a single endpoint for testing?
Hello! New Webroot SecureAnywhere user here. I recently started at a company that uses this software however I have no experience with it. Dumb question, but we are troubleshooting some software issues on a PC that has Webroot SecureAnywhere installed on it. I have access to the Admin console but am unable to disable the software locally. How do I disable this software on a single PC for testing purposes?
Webroot SecureAnywhere Uninstall methods fail
Uninstalling from Apps & Features or Appwiz.cpl fails with the above message. Logging in as Administrator does not work. Logging in Safe Mode doesn’t work. How do I remove this program from my Windows 10 system? Webroot Secureanywhere endpoint 220.127.116.11 -Protected is listed in Hidden Icons.
Webroot restarts after recent Windows update
In the past few days, I’ve been experiencing issues with Webroot locking up machines, stealing resources (40-50%). Event manager on some workstations reports that the service is constantly restarting. I’ve experienced this with both .48 and .62 endpoint versions. I’ve created a support ticket for this, but I was curious if anyone else is experiencing issues. I haven’t been able to pinpoint what the issue is, but I suspect it’s a recent Windows update? I’m having issues with clients both on and off domains - all running Windows 10.
How do I configure email alerts?
Hello, I’m a new user of Webroot SecureAnywhere, managing about 80 endpoints. I would like to configure the application so that if a virus is found it automatically emails an administrator, rather than having to watch the console all day. Is this possible? I tried searching the forums and all I could find was a thread from two years ago that “we’re looking into implementing this feature”. Is this possible now?
Windows Server 2019 ver 1809 compatibility
I understand that 2019 is ‘supported’ and listed here; LINK, however Webroot does not seem to disable or put Windows Defender in to passive mode on Server 2019 like it would for Windows 10. It also does not show as a listed Security provider in Settings-->Windows Security-->Open Windows Security-->Virus & Threat protection-->Manage providers (link on the right). This leaves the Windows Defender Antivirus Service set to Automatic and running. We all know that less is more when it comes to the amount of antivirus agents on a single machine. I have been unable to find any documentation on your site or in the community regarding 2019 best practices or when it will be fully compatible. Please advise. Thanks, Nic
Will reformatting my PC erase Endpoint Protection?
Yes stupid question as stated in the subject. But to make long story short I use to work for a company 3 months ago. They installed Webroot SecureAnywhere Endpoint Protection on my personal laptop because I use it for work. I don’t work for them anymore as I have moved country and can’t be bother contacting their IT to get it removed from their central console. Now I notice they left their Webroot on my laptop and cannot delete it or even open it. It tells me to contact system administrator bla bla bla… Well my laptop is very slow at times now so I am thinking of reformatting and doing a clean wipe of my PC. Will this successfully remove Webroot from my PC?Thanks
Webroot Client possibly (probably) causing App crash
We have a legacy VMware Thin App virtualised application which has been working until quite recently, i.e. just in the last day or so, users are experiencing app crashes when launching the virtualised app.We have found that removing the Webroot client from a sample computer eliminates the symptoms of the application crashing and therefore we believe that the Webroot client is interfering with execution. We have added Global Whitelists entries for the Application executable and for the UNC from where the Application executable is run and streamed, but this has not resolved the issue.I suspect that somehow the Webroot client is interfering with the data streaming process upon which the ThinApp virtualisation framework depends. This affected application is business critical, so I need to find a way to correct this behaviour, or we will be forced to abandon Webroot in favour of an alternative AV solution for all affected users. I have a raised a Support ticket today and currently awaiting a
Whitelist overwrites - Applying to all machines
I’ve created some whitelist overwrites that I want applied to all machines. I’ve selected NO to apply to policy because the knowledge article says that by selecting NO it will apply to all policies on our site. Am I seeing and thinking about that correctly? Reference Link: https://docs.webroot.com/us/en/business/wsab_endpointprotection_adminguide/Content/UsingOverrides/CreatingWhitelistOverrides.htm
Any way to force daily scans?
Using the business version, is there any way to force a scan to run every single day?I have a policy to scan daily and “scan before 8 am when the computer is idle” but this appears to not cause a scan to actually happen but once a week. A specific computer I picked out as an example does not routinely experience “idle” times and is never shut off in normal operation, but spends entire weeks without performing a scheduled scan. There is another set of options such as “scan at 8 am when resources are available” but I am nervous to try it, it sounds to me like another conditional that might result in scans not being carried out under certain circumstances.Anyone have any knowledge about this?I also have an open ticket with Webroot but they’ve been slow to respond usefully, so I figured I’d take a shot on the forum.Incidentally, I am aware the real value of Webroot is its realtime scan, but I am required to show daily file scans are being conducted as well.
App installs as standalone and does not show up in my console
I just started installing webroot endpoint on all my desktops. They all seem to install okay except one desktop. When I install using the link with the key code, it still asks for the key code and installs in as a standalone app. It doesnt show up on the console and the user has full control of the app.I tried rebooting, reinstalling, updating the pc… all the normal things, but it just doesnt want to seem to work. All the other installs are working fine on similar desktops. Any ideas???
