One of my co-workers keeps getting an error message, basically the same error message after every scan. The only thing that changes from what I saw was the number in the brackets.. I'm looking for ways I can drive traffic to the site. I am posting links on various websites, such as Reddit, Facebook, via Twitter and on several tech communities, including this one. However, I'm wondering if there are any other techniques I should consider employing. Reddit has been marvelous so far! However, I want to spread this site far and fast! I see previous posts where Webroot Support suggests that retaining deactivated agent data is a good thing. I completely disagree. We aren't able to use the Dashboards at our business at all because the data is not valid because of this "feature". For example, we want to know when there are agents out there still using the Silent Audit mode or Managed by Policy or (insert just about every gadget here), but the dashboard reports that half of our clients are out of compliance. When we go to track them down, they are all Deactivated, so we don't care and the energy and effort to confirm this is counter-productive. Webroot, you're forcing us to go down a long road to nowhere when alerts are generated for deactivated agents. We should have the ability to determine when we can purge an agent completely versus being forced to have stale data in our system forever. I think we should be given that control, otherwise the product's dashboards are just a "
I recently visited the website of a new company that I am now working for, a mgt. Agency with many business entities. The home site comes up with malware problem and most of their other sites do as well. I use Webroot on my PC and this is how I noticed this problem. I informed the company District sales mgr. and they replied we don't see that on our computer? I told them you do not have a secure site for your auto pays at all. You problably do not have any anti malware software. Am I wrong? What should I tell them? Thank you.
I need a way to temporarily disable scanning on a managed workstation so I can run diagnostics and install problematic software. Every other A/V product that I've ever tried has had a way to disable scanning for 10, 15, 30 minutes and then AUTOMATICALLY have scanning re-enabled. Thanks Phil
Hello, this is a real basic question. Webroot detected 2 viruses on my computer. It specified at the end of the scan to change password for on-line banking. I went ahead and did that. But after doing that a few hours later Webroot found 1 more then another 3 this morning. My question is, since this happened a few times after changing my on line passwords, does that mean that it was pointless to change my passwords because after changing them i received other threats? Please advise. Thank you.
One of our pc's display certificate errors when trying to login into "My Account". I have added webroot and webrootanywhere as an excecption in our filtering list, though I don't think that is the issue. It is not happening on other machines. Any suggestions where I can look to see what would be causing this "block".
HI: I am testing the usage of the WSA for buisness and the agent commands. One of which I need to use is the “uninstall command” so that I can remove the program from computers owned by users that leave the company, or for any other multitude of reasons. The agent refresh is set at 15 minutes. I manually refresh the WSA client. Nothing happens, I even reboot. No over one hour hour later still nothing. Is this a feature that is expected to work? Version 22.214.171.124 Windows 10 1909 18363,778. I can’t distribute the software if I cannot uninstall the agents. Any help is welcome.
I'd like to change some settings for the system cleaner, but it rejects changes because they need to be applied via the admin console. I have yet to find any settings for this in the admin console, or any way of overriding GUI changes for system cleaner and active process control. Any thoughts?
Hi I have a technical question about Webroot Endpoint memory usage. I've found Webroot commits around 600mb of memory when it only uses about 7mb. We have customers asking about it, as this as that's a massive amount of memory for a program to reserve? You can see it for yourself in Resource Monitor under memory and commit. In the Webroot console, how do we permanently delete a quarantined threat? I see in the front-end user GUI the option to permanently delete from quarantine, but user receives error message that settings are centrally managed. Also, will the "Needs Attention" then clear? On a similar note, if we create an override for a found threat, should the "Needs Attentions" clear or about how long should it take before that status clears? Thanks so much for any input!
I have an old Windows 2003 32bit server hosted in a hyper-v instance with web root installed. On boot of the OS I get an message box saying one or more services failed to start. In the event long i have the message that the WRSVC hung on startup. After I sign in, and go into services, it is running. I have the WR firewall disabled and WR seems to be running fine otherwise. Thoughts? -Pete
