What happend in 18.104.22.168?
Hello After the transition to v 22.214.171.124 something happend with Webroot impact at CPU and RAM durrign scan. Pentium 4 and 2 GB RAM Before: about max 15-20% CPU, 10-15 MB, normal scan time about 1 min 30 sek - max 2 min Now - about 30-50 % CPU, 45-55 MB, scan time about 3 min. What happend here?
Hello Everyone, I'm new to the community and have a question regarding virus infections and anti virus software. I had AVG as my anti-virus and during a scan it found that there were over 40 infections so I purchased secure everywhere and it ran a scan and found no infections whatsoever. Is there some difference between the two systems that one dectects objects as an infection while the other doesn't? Why such a dicrepancy? I have to say I'm a little confused. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Joe
Pop-up warning in Firefox but not in Chrome
HELLO I encountered a problem with the pop-up warning (left upper corner) about malicious content in the latest Firefox (attempt to open [url=http://www.interia.pl]www.interia.pl[/url]) but the lack of this warning in the same situation in Chrome. Whether webroot has a communication problem with Firefox ? Kind Regards
I'm using secure anywhere. I use a vmware worstation virtual machine to do office work. The VM uses the default vmware workstation network settings (bridge). After using the virtual machine for about an hour the vm starts giving me messages about network connection is no longer available. I am physically connected to the my network via lan cable. My host pc can access the network fine when then vm starts reporting this error. I'm not using a vpn or anything. My fix has been to shutdown the vm, uninstall webroot then restart vm. Any insights would be appreciated. -Pete
disable Identity Protection
I have been having some weird keyboard issues (no num locks, shift locks, or random characters when typing in a password field ) when using some HTTPS sites, including our intranet. The issues are completely random and I have no way to recreate them, but based on some of the other items I have search for it appears that it may be related with Identity Shield. What would I be giving up if I disable this? How big of a deal is this? What is the best way to disable it? Does anyone else disable this? Rich
WSA and windows updates
HELLO Our clients have complained that the WSA 126.96.36.199 blocks some windows updates: win xp - 7 updates blocked and win 7 - 9 updates blockes. They are getting "failure" and when they shutdown Webroot updates perform properly. Is there another way to remove these blocks? Best Regards

Blocking porn sites etc
Hi, quick question - we have a client who is having some issues with employees and contractors downloading porn onto company computers. Can this be blocked using Endpoint protection - or do we need to deploy web security service? I'm guessing Endpoint protection would block the sites they are getting this from if they were malicious - but as it appears they are not, and the porn is getting downoaded, web security service is needed. Any confirmation on what we need to do would be appreciated. Thanks, Wayne
The admin console is showing that my PC is infected, last infected december 4th When clicking on view next to the last infected and under the blocked programs, it doesnt show the december 4th infection, the last infection it shows is from december 2nd. however when I click on december 4th under endpoints infected in teh last 7 days, i see my PC, and when i click on it i see the last infection. Why does it now show in the first view? thanks

New Webroot user....am having problems with browsers - particularly Chrome. Every day I receive the following error msg: "Failed to find required file. C:ProgramDataWRDatapkgLPPlugin.dll". Can anyone help. Called tech support and they are closed today. Many thanks.
wrsa -poll = "Refresh configuration?"
Hi, I've noticed that a good chunk of our remote terminals do not update to the newest version automatically. In most cases, I have to go in manually and click the refresh configuration once or twice in order for it to acknowledge the update. Is there a way to do this from the command line? I've tried wrsa.exe -poll several times but nothing happened. The computers are reporting daily. Is there something that needs to be configured? Thanks for any suggestions, -Andy
I called a little while ago asking for the possiblity to get an emailed .exe of the cryptolocker virus as i am wanting to test webroot out with the journaling system for the buisness i work for caled Little Dog Tech in Iowa. I know this isn't really something to post on the community fourm but i would like to know why i can't test it out, is there anyway to get a video of webroot against cryptolocker then but to where it actually gets into the system? because we want to make sure it works before we supply, I currently use it and love it, but the owner would like to make sure it works well against cryptolocker. Please help me towards getting a video of it happening and webroot getting rid of encryption from the journaling system or but sending us a link to a one time use email.
I've installed 10 Endpoint users at work and strange things have been happening. I've used it at home for a while with no problems. Someone told me that in Excel, when the tried to enter data that each click would be added to another. Or rather, if you click in one cell and move to the next cell, both become highlighted. It has happened repeatedly for him. I experienced the same thing when selecting files. I would select one, and many would be selected. The reason I know it is related to webroot is that if I disable protection, the problem goes away that very second. Any one have any similar issues? Tom
Antivirus that just won't... do... anything... even uninstall!
I've been running Webroot SecureAnywhere on 3 PCs for work since the beginning of 2013 and it has worked very well so far. Now suddenly our PC that runs the laser engraving machines came up with errors and must shut down (the standard Windows XP block that comes up when something goes wrong with a program). BUT it doesn't end there! The same block keeps coming up, after 10 seconds or a minute or some other random time. If I kill WRSA.exe in the processes list, it resurfaces again. No sign of the Webroot program icon by the clock on the task bar at any point. Then when I try to uninstall Webroot either through its own uninstaller or through control panel, I'm told I can't do that because I'm not an administrator! Of course I am, I've even double checked! The upgrade/uninstall program from Webroot did nothing to help, it just ran and made empty promises, but the error scren still kept popping up. I installed AVG to check for any viruses - NOTHING. Malwarebytes also found nothing. In the
New enterprise client 188.8.131.52 does not apply policy settings
Hi, Has anyone noticed such a issues so far? We just saw one of our endpoints updated to the new Endpoint Protection client v184.108.40.206. So far we experience 2 issues now: 1. any setting of the WSA client can be modified manually, however, this should not be so 2. the WSA client does not apply policy settings at least we did some tests with: - System Cleaner settings - Firewall settings - Core Systems Shield settings and none of the policy settings were applied on the client. After each change in the policy we clicked "Update configuration" on the client popup menu and that showed the ususal message that configuration was updated successfully.
