Outdated Understanding of Cybercrime is Risky for Financial Markets Today, CityWire Global reported that global financial markets are under a growing threat of cybercrime, according to the latest report from the International Orgnaization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). ‘Reliance on an out-dated understanding of what cyber-crime entails, a perception of safety due to containment of past cyber-attacks, or assumptions around the limited capabilities of cyber-criminals today–may mean we end up “bringing a knife to a gun fight” in the future,’ said the report’s author Rohini Tendulkar. This data seems to be in line with the thoughts of many other analysts. The renewal wasn't applied to the old key so it has now expired. The purchase has generated a new key and I can't get the endpoints to move to it. The endpoints are not accepting requests, or polling and if I try to open it from the desktop it says it is "managed". If I click on Refresh, I get a message saying it is web based so I don't have to do that anymore. Looks like I'm stuck.

Hello, I'm trying to find out if it's necessary to create a rule to permit traffic on TCP Port 25 from a server on our domain to our main Exchange mail server for the the purpose of sending out email outside of our domain (in this case to customers and suppliers from our billing systems). I'm well aware of the risks of creating open relay's on mail platforms and have taken steps to secure the Exchange server, but I still can get the message to route from the billing system to the Exchaneg Server, has anyone got any experiance if this is necessary with Webroot and if so what the rule would look like. Any contributions would be welcome :D
Windows 7 Pro, WebRoot Endpoint (220.127.116.11) When I first visited this website and tried to download their software, I could tell that WebRoot flashed (very briefly) something in the top-left corner of the screen and then the site's download page reappeared and no download was performed. What I did:

Since I couldn't tell what WebRoot was trying to say to me... I tried the download again...
This time the firefox window went blank and the WebRoot Warning popup appeared in the upper left corner of the browser window.
Choosing CLOSE of course left me without the download, which I suppose is the correct thing until their site is declared clean.
By the way, attempts to start other programs, open the start menu, use any context menus were blocked... the context menus would flash up briefly and then disappear. But the links within the browser page still worked!
By closing the browser and returning to the website, I was able to perform
Agent Commands Download and Run is hit or miss. On some machines it will download the file, an exe and run it no issue. On other machines it just doesn't work. 1) where does the file get downloaded so I can verify that part is working? 2) is there any log on the client to see what is going on? 3) any detailed information on this feature is greatly appericated. Thanks, Brad
Over time, I created three different "mywebrootanywhere" login accounts. Various Consoles were created for different companies. The idea was eventually to hand them off to office managers as time went on but this has not happened. Now, I want to forget the idea and just lump them all together into my one original account. Anybody know how to achieve this consolidation?
Dear Expert, I am a business customer for Webroot Security anywhere. Looking for an additional solution to apply company security disclaimer notice for the end user once they login to the computer. I would like to see the feedback from your end, what can be done to implement. Thanks
For the third time I have had to uninstall and reinstall because the Execution History gets to big to load. Can you please put a limit on how much history is kept or provide a mehod to manually delete the history (the reset button does not work if the history is too big to load)?
Hi All, Thanks in advance for your time in reading and responding to this query. Just wondering if there is a way to account for daylight savings adjustment in time zone settings under the user account settings within the SecureAnywhere online console? I am in Sydney Australia and the only time option I get is EST (more accurately AEST - Australian Eastern Standard Time, which is UTC+10), however at the time of writing this post, it is currently AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Time, which is UTC+11). As a result, all the logs, reports and events are all 1 hour out. I can not seem to work out how to manually perform a UTC adjustment. I appreciate that I am able to set the location differently, though this is not a suitable solution. Look forward to your thoughts.
Hello Everyone, I'm new to the community and have a question regarding virus infections and anti virus software. I had AVG as my anti-virus and during a scan it found that there were over 40 infections so I purchased secure everywhere and it ran a scan and found no infections whatsoever. Is there some difference between the two systems that one dectects objects as an infection while the other doesn't? Why such a dicrepancy? I have to say I'm a little confused. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Joe
I have yet to find a commonality, but random sites have been creating duplicate agent entries. I have found that a single machine could have anywhere from 1-3 duplicates, each checking in days or weeks behind the current/active agent; if that makes sense? Is there something we can do to resolve this issue? Thank you!
I have two PC's and one Mac using Webroot on my subscription. However, when I just logged into my account dashboard for the first time in over a year, the dashboard claims 10 PC's are covered. It is counting the Mac once, but has four instances of one PC, and five instances of the other PC. What gives? There also does not appear to be any way of removing the duplicates.
My Webite gpshvac.com reports by the Webroot Look Up there has been an infection within the last 12 months. We have not had an infection by any other measurement other than what is being reported by Webroot. This is causing some of my customers to receive an alert which they do not want to dismiss. How can this be cleared up. The lookup is reporting Real Time Intelligence Analysis - No Threats Found
