Virus Infection

Hello Everyone, I'm new to the community and have a question regarding virus infections and anti virus software.  I had AVG as my anti-virus and during a scan it found that there were over 40 infections so I purchased secure everywhere and it ran a scan and found no infections whatsoever.  Is there some difference between the two systems that one dectects objects as an infection while the other doesn't? Why such a dicrepancy?  I have to say I'm a little confused.  Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There could be many contributing factors, the main one being that Webroot doesn't use scare tactics by removing regular cookies and browser helpers unless they are in fact malicious. However, our threat team can investigate the wsa logs on the computer and specifically answer your questions as well as identify if anything was indeed missed.

Thanks a lot Mike.
