Question

Web Threat Shield unmanaged

I am told by support that with the latest version of the installer the Web Threat Shield  will not go into a managed status anymore.

The end user is able to turn it on and off at their leisure from the browser.

But I do have other machines that was installed with an older installer where this is locked down.

Anyone else having this issue?

Hello @robertdrucker

You can turn it off if you want within the Client: https://docs.webroot.com/us/en/home/wsa_pc_userguide/wsa_pc_userguide.htm#UsingFirewallWebShieldProtection/ChangingFirewallWebShieldSettings.htm

And within Firefox and other Browsers you can turn the switch off:

The same within Chrome:

HTH,

I am not looking to turn it off.

The extension is enabled but the end user can turn it off because it is considered to be unmanaged.

See below examples
