Hi there, I have installed Webroot v22.214.171.124 for MacOS 11.6 Big Sur, after fighting an ongoing “Update available” but nothing happens when button clicked issue, in the previous version. Right now - I can't dismiss login item - as in Webroot window constantly popping up as soon as logged in. Policy on the console set to Silent Audit and suppose to hide GUI as well as site key and etc but doesn't apply properly and i ca see the key, suspend the protection, close the tool etc. What is the solution here please? Has anyone had the same issue? It is about to be deployed to 20+ more MacOS devices. Thanks,
I am using Webroot 126.96.36.199: 1607 on my MacBook Pro. However, I continue to get the brown (!) and “Product Update Available” message. When I click the “Update Now” button, nothing happens. What’s wrong, and what should I do? I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice but the problem persists.
The Webroot icon on my MacBook (running Catalina 10.15.2) tells me that I need to install a software update (currently 188.8.131.52 1381) but when I click the “update now” button, nothing happens. Any ideas? I’ve tried searching known issues but have yet to find anything that helps.
Webroot was initially installed by Best Buy on my MacBook Pro and is running fine. How do I get it installed on my iPhone and iPad? It recently showed up on my iPhone but I can’t get it activated as it does not seem to recognize either my username or password. I know absolutely I am using the correct username and password which is the same as I used here now on my laptop.
MacBook Pro has had problems and is running slow after webroot install. Webroot had a yellow warning triangle with exclamation point. Hello. I am a long-time Webroot user and lover, and am surprised to find myself in this failure situation. I need your help please. Below are the actions I took:Logged into the Webroot Console and downloaded the wsamac.dmg for Mac. Opened that .dmg, then a small Webroot SecureAnywhere window was presented containing a green W icon in the middle. Double-clicked that Webroot icon in that small window, then received a system (OS) window stating, “Webroot SecureAnywhere” is an app downloaded from the Internet. Are you sure you want to open it?” Clicked the Open button, then that system window disappeared, and the Green Webroot icon resides in my Tray at the bottom of the screen. INSTALL PROCESS CEASED at this point, and I was NOT presented a screen to enter my Keycode to complete the install. Resulting condition is:Webroot icon is in the Tray. The system (OS) considers Webroot to be “open”. In Applications, the Webroot icon is present. On the flash storage ‘hard drive’, I see Webro
The full system scan will run for hours at 99% CPU usage without completing a scan. I have left the scan running for 100+ hours, the furthest the scan will make it is about halfway. The system has a 256gb drive, I have stopped Time machine and rebooted the system before running the scan. Webroot has a message saying that a threat was detected but has not found a threat while running the scan. Webroot Endpoint Protection CE 21.3.
When running Webroot on my Mac the WSDaemon consistently uses 100% of the CPU. The fans spin up and the system slows to a crawl even when doing basic tasks like web browsing. If I kill the process or reboot the machine everything is ok for ~15 minutes and then WSDaemon goes back to 100% CPU usage. I’ve attempted uninstalling / reinstalling Webroot and that hasn’t helped. In addition I can’t get the Webroot window or menu bar icon to show up. macOS version: 10.15.4 (19E266)
Online info shows a progress bar when Optimizer is running. I never get anything past a spinning gear, and if that finally stops after hours and sometimes days it still shows Unoptimzed. Optimizer has never worked since I started with Webroot months ago. Verify Disk doesn’t work either and is perpetually at Unverified. Have done multiple uninstalls (with complete removal through finder after Webroot’s uninstall)Version 184.108.40.206:1595 on MacBook Pro 2019 16”, 32 GB, 2667 MHz Have done multiple uninstalls with complete removal via finder of other components that Webroot’s uninstall leaves intact.Anyone know what’s up with this? ×
Hello,WSA updated automatically on my MacBook Pro several days ago to version 220.127.116.11:1586. It was a quick update and much faster than previous updates.I am running WSA on macOS BigSur 11.4.The first thing I noticed after updating WSA is:scanning no longer starts immediately after log-in. Instead, only the WSA window appears after log-in, as before, and there are no more simultaneous multiple scans occurring after log-in.The WSA window however will still appear after log-in.After several days, WSA is still running fine.
Webroot does not install on Mac after selecting Language, says internet problem when there isn't any
Installing webroot does not work after selecting language. On the next screen, an error pops up saying “An error occurred while trying to download the necessary files for this installation. Please double check your internet connection and try again”There isn’t any internet connection problem and I get this when I’m actually posting this topic successfully to webroot community! Why is this failing right at the beginning trying to download its required files after selecting language when there is really no internet connection issue at all ? This must be something else. Very frustrated that it fails right at the outset.
As a yearly customer of webroot since the PrevX Edge Days, (Probably 10 or 11 years now), I have lost so much confidence in WR over the past couple of years. It got so terrible on Windows that I completely did away with all my microsoft desktop computers in our home, (we had 7), and once webroot was able to be used on Mac we switched to Mac products & a few android products. For awhile things were great, seemed like the good ole days when WRSA would run in the background and I rarely had to look at it, but it was there and keeping everything nice and protected. Now I can’t power up a macbook without going through webroot chaos. Sometimes it wants me to enter my KC - which still has 200 days left on it - then once KC is entered it begins “Preparing for scan” which never progresses. I’ve uninstalled and installed fresh disk image and whole 9 yards multiple times only to have the process seem fixed, then repeat the same series of problems then next day. These are the type of issues, c
My webroot has recently been bugging out says I’m not subscribed even though my license is valid through 2022. When I check my account status is says “Waiting for license.” I uninstalled and redownloaded webroot through the management console but upon installation the app just doesn’t work at all. When I open webroot it shows up on the dock bar below but there’s no home screen or anything. What gives?
