On my MacBook pro I get the above message when I start up the system. This points to the file “/System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.appleseed.seedusaged.postinstall.plist”.This file contains what looks like a call to the “Feedback Assistant.app” app: <key>Label</key> <string>com.apple.appleseed.seedusaged.postinstall</string> <key>LimitLoadToSesionType</key> <string>Aqua</string> <key>ProgramArguments</key> <array> <string>oneShot</string> </array> <key>RunAtLoad</key> <true/> <key>Program</key> <string>/System/Library/CoreServices/Applications/Feedback Assistant.app/Contents/Library/LaunchServices/seedusaged</string> Is this normal and OK, or is it some kind of malware? Thanks.
legacy system extensions - macos 10.15.4
I a popup that led to this message when I turned on my computer (and this was a Webroot popup) - “In 2019, Apple informed developers that macOS Catalina will be the last macOS to fully support legacy system extensions, and we've been working with developers to transition their software. By moving beyond these extensions, developers are helping to further modernize the Mac, improve its security and reliability, and enable more user-friendly software distribution methods. A final transition date has not yet been set.” does this mean Webroot won't work?
Problems updating Webroot SecureAnywhere on MacBook
The Webroot icon on my MacBook (running Catalina 10.15.2) tells me that I need to install a software update (currently 184.108.40.206 1381) but when I click the “update now” button, nothing happens. Any ideas? I’ve tried searching known issues but have yet to find anything that helps.
Can't reinstall webroot onto Mac
So I purchased webroot 6 months ago at Best Buy and I recently uninstalled it as it was making my laptop very loud, hot and drained the battery. I tried to reinstall it (on mac) but I could only get to step two of these instructions offered https://answers.webroot.com/Webroot/ukp.aspx?pid=12&vw=1&solutionid=1220 . The only thing that pops up when I click the dmg file is a pop up of the webroot icon and when I click on it I, I briefly see something pop up on the dock but it quickly dissapears. I can’t do anything else from here.
Good morning,Went to run a scan and Webroot now shows first scan not run with blue screen. tried to run scan it lasted 11 seconds then said scan not completed. I have restarted my MacBook Air and still get same issue. I tried to reactivate with key code to no avail. I have been using Webroot for a few years now and trying to contact support.

Support for macOS Monterey
Hi there, Tried searching in multiple places and can’t find any mentions about newly released macOS Monterey and Webroot support for it.I understand it is only few days old, but we have customers enquiring about possible upgrades in near future and we are currently deferring such due to the unknowns with Webroot. Some roadmap if not yet, or a clear answer would be appreciated. Thanks,
Mac O/S Catalina 10.15.6 - will not update Webroot SecureAnyhere
MAC Catalina OS version 10.15.6 - I have tried and I simply cannot update the Webroot SecureAnywhere. the “update” button simply does nothing. Trying to do a full scan is equally pointless, it fails to complete or even start. Any suggestions ? The software is purchased for 6 pcs and none of them are useable, in its present guise.
What is WSDaemon and why does it need Full Disk Access?
This is on WSA-Complete, iMac 2017, OS Monterey 12.1. A WSA tech installed WSDaemon (the name itself makes me nervous) when I had a problem when using OS 11(.5, I think). (The problem was: on startup, “out of the blue” - after a long time with no issues - WSA surprisingly needed my Key, once given it it could not begin a Complete Scan.) The tech needed complete access to my computer on-line (a requirement itself that makes me very very nervous); he installed this “demon app” with Full Access, and it did solve the problem at the time. After a few days, I was troubled enough with this app that I stopped its Full Disk Access to see what would happen. Stopping it made no difference: WSA scanned fully without “Full Disk Access” - no problems, for several weeks, still with OS 11(.5, I think). Then, this Need-for-Key--Key accepted, followed by Failure-to-begin-FullScan issue returned. I decided to try an update to OS 12 to see if WSA could run by itself (without Full Disk Access for WSDaem
Webroot interference with MAC Time Machine
Since I upgraded my MAC to Big Sur recently, my Time Machine backup stopped working. After a week of diagnostic with Apple tech support, it was determined that Webroot SecureAnywhere was preventing the MAC backups from working. I uninstalled Webroot, and suddenly, Time Machine started working again. I let it work for a few days. Then, I reinstalled Webroot, and immediately, Time Machine stopped working again. So my question…. Has this been reported and can Webroot do something about it?
Webroot for MacOS 11.6 v220.127.116.11 - can't dismiss login item and policy doesn't apply properly
Hi there, I have installed Webroot v18.104.22.168 for MacOS 11.6 Big Sur, after fighting an ongoing “Update available” but nothing happens when button clicked issue, in the previous version. Right now - I can't dismiss login item - as in Webroot window constantly popping up as soon as logged in. Policy on the console set to Silent Audit and suppose to hide GUI as well as site key and etc but doesn't apply properly and i ca see the key, suspend the protection, close the tool etc. What is the solution here please? Has anyone had the same issue? It is about to be deployed to 20+ more MacOS devices. Thanks,
I’ve been running webfoot on my mac for 6 weeks & a to date total of 2020 new detected threats. Whereto has scanned 134,537,591 files & still running. When I started Webfoot I selected the TimeMachine external storage device to be scanned. Should I have selected the hard drive instead? What do I do with the new threats? How do I delete the new threats?Thank you for your replysnip Removed email address and please don’t post personal info on the open forums.TripleHelix
Just installed today's update - SecureAnywhere 22.214.171.124
Hi everyone.I noticed today (Aug. 4) there was an update for WebRoot SecureAnywhere for Mac. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any product announcement on the community forum to get more information about the update. With this update the version will change to 126.96.36.199.I went ahead and installed the update anyway on my Mac with Catalina 10.15.5. So my experience was basically the same as last month’s update. I just want to share my experience...To download and install the update, I clicked the “Update Now” button (see screenshot below). The console will appear yellow. Be patient... It will take a couple minutes for the product to update. At first you won’t see anything happen after clicking the button and you might wonder if the update is working. Don’t panic. Don’t press the update button more than once. After a minute or two you may see two Webroot icons running in the Dock. Let the update proceed. Both icons will eventually disappear from the Dock, and then one Webroot icon will re-app
WebRoot Secure Anywhere - "MacOS Security Feature has been disabled"
WebRoot Secure Anywhere - MacOS Security Feature has been disabled. iMac on startup this morning. WebRoot Secure Anywhere displays information dialogue box that states: “MacOS Security Feature has been disabled”. Only one action available - “OK”. WSA stays Green & Protected. So what feature has been disabled? How to re-enable the Security Feature?
Webroot and Apple
I installed Webroot after buying my Mac Pro 8 months ago. Since then Apple has rolled out 3 updates. Each one of them have broken Webroot to some degree or another. After spending several hours on the phone with the Geek Squad they said they have seen a lot of instability with Webroot and Apple OS X. They suggested I may want to switch to Trend Micro as it seems to be much more stable with Apple.

Full Disk Access
Have been using WSA over three years. First time, today, received the Full Disk Access request. Am running macOS Big Sur, 11.2.3. Went to Security & Privacy, Privacy Tab, went to Full Disk Access, WSA not listed. Went to Files and Folders WSA listed. Full Disk Access listed under WSA icon but greyed out. Any recommendation?
