My Webroot was not operating properly on my iMac. Searched topic and printed the Full disk access repair instructions. Followed the step by step instructions and not all of them showed up in sequence as shown on the print out. Help. I’m back to square one.
2015 iMac running Catalina OS, when i click to turn on Realtime Shield I het a message, “Go to system preferences > Security & Privacy and enable the Webroot Software, lnc. system extension to turn on Realtime Sheild. “ Ive gone to the Privacy panel and added Webroot but it still does not allow me to turn on Realtime Shield.
I have a Mac Mini and MacBook Pro. Both have small hard drives and don’t have many files as I mainly use them for web browsing. Both have WSA IS Plus installed and I have excluded scanning mounted drives and removable media (Time Machine backups are on the removable media). I had an issue when I upgraded to OS Catalina but WSA tech support uninstalled and reinstalled the compatible version (18.104.22.168:1283) 2 days ago. Scans are taking over 7 hours and sometimes over 80 hours! This has been happening before and since WSA was reinstalled by tech support. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I would rather not switch from full scans to quick scans. Thanks!
I have a Mac and have been using Webroot for years. Just recently upgrade followed the instructions for Catalina, and after It is downloaded and I tried to install the install never starts. What happens is I get Webroot running on my bottom tray and when it I click on it, and try to go to the options off the top menu and nothing happens.
On my mac I upgraded the operating system to os Catalina version 10.15.4. I have a current webroot subscription and the new desktop screen shows a webroot icon. The problem is that when I click on that icon, the app does not open. I do not have my current key code. I tried to reinstall the app using the name and email listed on the subscription but keep getting an error message. I do no know if it is a problem with the os Catalina, with its settings, or with the webroot app. Any advice would be appreciated.
Webroot Secure Anywhere 22.214.171.124 on my 2019 MacBook Pro running Catalina 10.15.3 is scanning every file in my Google Drive, one at a time, by pulling them down from the cloud onto my hard drive. The current scan has run for days. I can see Google Drive File Stream pulling down the files, one by one, filling up my hard drive. I believe I’ve added my google drive to the exclusion list, but it appears to have no impact.
I need help in fully uninstalling WSA from my desktop MAC. When I first uninstalled WSA, I trashed the app BEFORE shutting it down. This wasn’t my fault. When I first tried to uninstall, I was lead by the WSA help menu to a MAC page for instructions to uninstall all apps which is dragging to the trash. When I tried to install Trend Micro it would not install stating I “need to uninstall WSA first”. I then reinstalled WSA and shut it down first before dragging to trash. I restarted the computer and again Trend Micro stated: “need to uninstall WSA before installing Trend Micro” I then cleaned my computer and removed WSA app with Omni Remover app which is to fully remove all remnants of WSA app. I restarted my Mac. There is no sign of WSA on my computer but Trend Micro states “need to uninstall WSA before installing Trend Micro.” Can anyone help me with this? I need to get my computer protected with Trend Micro which I paid for already in Geek Squad from Best Buy. thanks, Kash49
Why has my scan stopped at “System/Volumes/Data/Vo...ditionName/thumbnail.jpg”??? I got information off my old laptop from the hard drive because the computer would not boot up and as soon as I downloaded it onto my Mac the deep scan is frozen, twice now. It quarantined three things and we sent a report to apple and deleted them but the scans still won't complete and always stop at the what I wrote above. Does this mean my brand new 12 TB hard drive I transferred everything to and iMac are infected? I have run it twice now and its still won't finish scanning and I’m worried my brand new 12TB hard drive (that makes weird noises throughout the scan) is infected along with my iMac. Thank you in advance for your help
Hello, My webroot app does not want to scan any files. When I first hit scan, it says “Scan Failed”. I continue to hit the Scan button and it begins scanning, but no files are being scanned. It just shows the time elapsing. I am also on a macbook pro. Should I reinstall the software? What can I do?
Hi there. I bought macbook and it came with webroot and now the subscription is expiring and I bought the new subscription twice through amazon but when I put new key code and click activate it didn’t do anything just acting like I need to put the key code again. So I contacted amazon and they refunded me and want me to call webroot. So I decided to buy through webroot though maybe I don’t have to deal with this but no I still has the same problem so I called webroot but never get to talk to the technician also I sent them a message and haven’t heard anything back. I’m ver new to MacBook and webroot. All the helps will be appreciated. Thank you.
I installed webroot for mac on my 2011 Mac mini server. Afterwards, I ran scan and went to bed. This morning I found on the display screen only a picture of a folder icon with a ? mark in the folder and both were blinking. Nothing else on the display screen except that. I hit the space bar and mouse and nothing happened. I left the computer for about 8 hours thinking something might happen but when I returned, it was the same. I then decided to turn off and back on the computer. The typical Apple logo popped up with the progression bar at boot up. About a half hour later the progression bar had completed but nothing more happened. It never booted up to the desk top. I left it alone for about 8 hours hoping it would boot but it didn’t. what do I do to get my computer to boot up?????????
I just installed Webroot onto my Mac after, due to security reasons, my last subscription was cancelled. I downloaded the program but once I click on the app it won’t launch to allow me to actually input my key code or sign in and finish the download process. I have tried re downloading multiple times and nothing I am doing is helping. The program is not giving me a message or anything, when I click/double click it just does nothing. I put in a ticket but there’s been no response so any help would be great! Thank you
Have tried numerous times to install Webroot on Macbook pro running Catalina, but when I download and then double click Webroot icon, nothing happens. Any help to complete install? Webroot was running fine prior to this, although when opening the console, it had an amber background instead of green, with “subscription expiration” notice even though i have years remaining on subscription. That is why i attempted uninstall/reinstall Thanks for any help...Tom
Both I and a technical rep were convinced that the issue was solved when we saw the check mark on webroot in "Full Disk Access" on Catalina. That was the issue I’d phoned about. We did a remote connection, per recommendations from the support web site. All looked good -- until it didn’t. While Webroot, without rebooting my Mac,, was scanning, the box in Apple’s “full disk access” did not stick after all. Learning that Time Machine could not yet be handled by the current version of Webroot in Catalina, I also disconnected Time Machine: but the scanning continues in an infinite loop even though Time Machine is physically disconnected.. So those two issues -- failing to "stick" in Full Disk Access and an unending scanning loop -- make this software not ready for prime time. Please understand that I do not fault the person who did the best job possible during a remote connection. But WebRoot is continuing to lose my confidence as a multi-year subscriber. We need a fixed release soon, not
