I've had spysweeper that expired a couple years ago but I'm afraid to get rid of the program because I never emptied the quarantine and now the program doesn't even open anymore.  Anyway, I'm afraid to uninstall webroot because the quarantine has a few viruses and I don't want them released.
Is it safe to uninstall webroot without clearing the quarantine first?

Uninstalling Spysweeper, or any version of Webroot Antivirus or Webroot SecureAnywhere, will not release quarantined items back into the environment. Those items will be deleted along with Webroot if you choose to uninstall.

Since Spysweeper is not opening properly for you, please reply back if you need any assistance in uninstalling, and we can provide a link to a removal tool. 🙂
