I have a question about the security capabilities of Webroot Mobile. Example: I'm sitting in a public area using my iPhone and all is well it seems. However, there is someone sitting a few feet away attempting to hack into my iPhone via Wifi and access my private information stored on the phone. Does Webroot Mobile help protect my iPhone from this type of attack? Does it allow me to encrypt that private information? Thanks!
I looked but I decided this would be as good a place as any to ask about this (ya I visit a few forums and I know it can get annoying when threads are in the wrong place). So, the webroot secure web app for mobile devices. How exactly does this work and make everything safer? Is it basically auto encrypt anything and everything sent over the web through forms? Does it encrypt every connection, and run further scans or security measures than using the mobile versions of chrome (which is what I have been using, but I am liking the webroot app)? If so what kind of encryption is it using for form data? If webroot is already running in the background is this just another extra layer of security then? Or is it basically just a mobile web browser since the main app should catch any thing that is unwanted or sneaky anyways? Security in layers is always a good thing though, thieves know they don't want to jump through 10 hoops to get your information when there are tons of people out th
I have SecureAnywhere Complete. I am trying to use the password management on my ios devices and having some trouble. It seems that it works okay on sites that I have only 1 login/password saved. However, on sites that I might have more than 1 login/password saved (for example, if it's a site that both my husband and I have our own accounts), then sometimes there is just a password but no username (and it's not clear which password it is), sometimes there is no password or username, and sometimes there is a password and username, but no ability to change to the other username/password. How can I access both of the passwords and usernames as I can on the computer version? Thanks.
I just upgraded to the Webroot Complete this afternoon. I have been trying to get it setup on my phone all afternoon. I keep putting in the user name and password and keep getting message that "Login Failure"...... I've read the forums but have been unsuccessfull with getting a fix for this.
I downloaded the free app for my new Galaxy III. Worked like a charm. I can check the app and see the message "you are protected". Perfect. I installed the free app for my iPad 2. No joy. I never got any requests to synch it with my account. It shows it is installed but I don't have any idea what else I should see to be sure. Should I see messages like I do on my phone to let me know it is "protected"? When I look at my account, the only device that shows is the phone. Somebody please tell me what I am doing wrong or not doing.
I just installed the complete version of Webroot and placed a keycode and ran an initial scan. When I access my secure anywhere account, under PC security, it lists that I have not associated Webroot to any PCs. Similarly, I just download the iphone app on my phone. I can't seem to log in, using my email address as the user name, but I can log in to the Webroot Secure Anywhere account on the web. Also, is Webroot compatible on the Nook. Thanks for the help.
I downloaded the SecureWeb app from the iTunes store and installed on my iPhone. I have attempted to set up an account for Webroot but I don't have a product code for the SecureWeb app, therefor I cannot register. Without a User Name and Password I can't access the password feature in SecureWeb. What am I missing?
Ok, I've followed all the instructions to download both apps to my iOS device, and I can log on successfully. But, when I open the homepage to my account, under "Mobile Devices", it shows "0" devices protected. Do I need to still do something for my mobile devices to show up? Thank you!
So, I bought SecureAnywhere Complete 2012 for my iPad 2, and so far, I have yet to figure out: 1. How to set up my iPad to lock or wipe the contents if needed. 2. How to set up my iPad to locate it, if it is ever stolen. 3. How I would wipe all the contents from it, if I were to sell it... Unfortunately, the apps from the iPad store could use some better instructions on how to use them... Thanks!
Based on my "once-over" glance of the iOS board, it seems my problem is a semi-frequent one. However, it appears that the reasons for this issue tend to vary from user to user. My accurate login information fails to work on either SecureSynch or SecureWeb. I would appreciate somebody looking into this at their earliest convenience and advising me of the appropriate course of action. Regards Addendum: I am using SecureAnywhere Complete 2012. I can provide product details (keycode, etc.) on request.?
Question
I am unable to add my iPhone as a device. I have the apps on the phone and I can access them. Why don't they show up in the console?
Answer
Your iOS device will not show up under mobile security tab in your online account area. This is because that tab is reserved for the mobile anti-virus portion of the account, which currently only exists on Android devices. The iOS apps are not anti-virus applications. For a breakdown of our backup utility, SecureSync, click here. And here is some more on SecureWeb, our secure browser.

To anyone and everyone, I just today purchased the Secure Anywhere package. Unfortunately I am unable to add my iPhone as a device. I have the apps on the phone and I can access the Secure Web browser, but the Secure Sync app will not accept my accurate Username and password - even though it is readily accepted on my laptop. What gives? Why is this so difficult? I can't add my device when the app doesn't accept the correct User & Password. &n
I have installed Webroot Mobile on both my iphone and ipad. Works great. However, I have a lot of saved "bookmarks" on Safari. When I installed Webroot Mobile, the bookmarks did not transfer to the new Webroot SecureWeb internet browser. Is there a way to move of save them to the Webroot SecureWeb internet browser?
I have been trying to log in to Password Management on the SecureWeb app for iOS devices. However every time I try, it tells me it ws unable to log me in. I make sure my email and password are correct (no missed characters, accidental capitalization, etc.) and still it won't log me in. Yet I can still log in to SecureAnywhere on my computer, so what's going on?
