Hi smith2006,

The Webroot Android User Help Guide for Backup & Sync mentions an icon on the home panel. Unless this is outdated material which I doubt since Webroot put these articles up a year or so ago. But that doesn't mean that the Webroot newer versions didn't change this...

But it sure looks like the Beta has taken the icon away. Backup & Sync is easier to open and use now without having to continously sign in with your email and password....

HI Smith2006,

You're welcome and thank you for explaining that. Sorry about that I thought you were stuck on that B & S icon. Maybe I'm the one that's concerned over it? LOL Yes you are right making sure it's by-design while in the early stages of Beta. Aha I get it! 🙂

The Android Beta hasn't updated from 4.0.5.8560.

I have unistalled/reinstalled twice already.

???
Hi Sherry,

I believe that's the version we all (here on this board) have. smith2006 commented that his version was now 4.0.5.8560 (perhaps version 4.1.1.8039 was his release version prior to Beta update?)

BTW, received another update and my copy is now 4.0.5 .8560 (from 4.1.1.8039)

Perhaps we can get a confirmation from @. ;)

You're always very welcome, Sherry.

His version, 4.1.1.8039 was the release version he (me too) had on his phone prior to the Beta update. ;)

Wonder wy the number when backwards from Release 4.1.1.8039 to Beta 4.0.5.8560

Yes I see that the end numbers went up 8039 to 8560, but to me it went backwards?

But the Complete version Release is still at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.webroot.security.complete&hl=en

Mine says Complete and I use my BETA keycode as well and I'm not sure if that is a requirement? Also when I installed the Beta it asked me to uninstall the Release version and all went fine. I just had to re-add my email address and my password to my online account.

I finally got my beta installed, and I'm special, I suppose?  Mine shows it downloaded "Free" version, but in the graphics it shows I am running "WSA Mobile Premier"?

Hi Ratledge,

I'm guessing that the Beta version that the 'Free' version upgrades to is dependant upon what version of WSA keycode you had been using prior to the update.;)

BD
Maybe it's handing out three different versions in a round-robin style?  Don't know.  Mine shows up in Google Play as "Security Free".  I had that version installed, even though I should have "Complete", I suppose.

Login problem fixed with help from Lara Lidell. Thanks

Meanwhile a report on the latest verison that I installed this morning v 5.5.3.35435 it took a very long time to scan after installation, maybe 3-4 times as long as the one prior to this. The scan ended with an error message in a B/W box with an OK-button. Message: "Error code 1010 - client error". I had to press the OK-button four times before it vanished without finishing the scan. The next scan I tried some half hour later (did not touch anything in the AV) it went through with success, however about 2-3 times slower than the verision prior to this one.

My Android is v 6.0.1 on a four year old Samsung Galaxy SM-T705 3GB of Ram (41% free), 16GB built in SD (17% free) and 64GB on SD-card

Hello ChristianNissen,

Somehow we missed your post. Sorry for the late response.

Right now there isn't anyone to help with the Webroot Android Beta group. There are a lot of issues with the latest Beta right now. I was told it would be best to leave the Beta group by going to your Apps on the Google Play Store and look for Webroot Beta and leave the group and install the Webroot released version and that is what I have running on my Android now. This WR version of 5.1.2.27294 is running flawlessly. I'm sure we will be notified when they start up support for this Beta group. As you will have WR Technical Support for the released version if need be.

Hope this helps?

Kind regards,
Sherry

Hi Sherry,

First I am a bit worried, that the betaprogram is having problems, without any info or communications from Webroots side? The forums just seemed to s stop working and my logins where deleted? Which was the original cause of contact...

Secondly thanks for the advice to leave the betaversion and go back to the released version. However I cant make that work quite? I deinstalled the app with the built in "deinstallation". Went to Play store and searched for Webroot beta.... nothing. Then installed the normal Webroot AV app from the store. All went well until the installation said something like: "You are in the betaprogram insert Your keycode for access of the app". However I never got a special keycode for the betaprogram, the person that let me in just said she "notified Google store that I was in the beta program and should have that app instead of the release version". So using the only keycode I have just installed the beta app again :(

Pls advice....

Regards
Christian

Hi smith2006,

It looks like Webroot Android Beta has removed the icon to Backup & Sync. i am running Webroot SecureAnywhere Mobile Complete as well. But my version so far is 4.0.5.8560..... Did Webroot just update your version on your mobile device?

I uninstalled Webroot Complete Mobile on my Samsung Galaxy and then reinstalled the SeureAnywhere Free version. Within minutes it updated back to Complete and now shows the Beta header (see pic). It may just depend on when it will update. Maybe based on location or something like that. ;)

BD
Yes BD I did the same thing to my Samsung Galaxy Note 4. I uninstalled and reinstalled with the Webroot Free version and mine was updated to Complete as well. So it must be a time change or something.
