Will Webroot work on a Kindle Fire HD?Knowledge Base
Question
Will Webroot work on a Kindle Fire HD?
Answer
Yes, however Amazon made a change in a recent update to the Kindle Fire HD, which prevents Device Administrator from being enabled for 3rd party applications. The Webroot SecureAnywhere Mobile app requires Device Administrator to use Lost Device Protection. Due to the limitations imposed by the device manufacturer, some normal app features, such as Wipe and password protection during uninstallation, may not function correctly.
I have Webroot on both my PC andmy mobile using WSA complete and its mobile equivalent on an Xperia T. The Xperia T keeps informing me that mylogin details are incorrect.athough Webroot works perfectly. Should I haveadiferentpassword for this device? or is there something else I have done wrong. Webrott is hanging when scanning and I can't get it to update my scan definitions. I have done a fresh install from Google play and that has nont changed the issue. I am absolutely positive that this has been covered already, but I can't seem to find the thread with the solution. Sorry for the inconvenience.
After using the "scream " function, the phone requested an unlock code.I could not enter the code as the keyboard is coninuously jumping around. I rebooted to stop the scream but still I cannot enter this as the keyboardstares jumping around as soon as I touch the 'enter' space. I have swiftkey set as default keyboard. Any help urgnetly appreciated. Graham

Hi Everyone I run Secure Anywhere Complete on my HTC One XL android phone. Several times in the last week, the phone has locked (red screen) during a phone call. This cuts off the call. Lost Device Protection is ON, but the phone has been in use by me each time it has locked. I have not changed any settings. I didn't remember my pw at the time, but unlocked it for a while by turning the phone off. I'm concerned that the lock signals are coming from elsewhere. Thanks Newby
Hi All, Can anyone share their experience with theft prevention and user account on their android device? I was playing with the Anti theft features with the tablet(Galaxy Tab S running Android 4.4.2 w/ user accounts) which worked well on one user account. UNTIL I decided to change to another user account (i think the way Samsung has it working is that it seperates all users and the assosiated apps) So with my second user account on, i activate some of the anti-theft and it starts screaming but there isnt any "unblock" screen. So my tablet decides to log out to the lock screen and thats where my issues start. When i press the power button the display comes on but instantly turns off. So i need to try to somehow rush to change user again, after 5 minutes i manage to rush and change user, BUT

my tablet seems like it has crashed and is frozen software/OS wise.
A few moments later Webroot crashes and it asks me to close webroot with the o
This might not be a webroot problem. Started the same time as the lock screen problem. The lock screen swipe problem is fixed (thank you!). However, my 4G icon stays on all the time. It used to go on if I wasn't on wifi. Now they will both show. I have a Samsung S3 using Straight Talk with Verizon. Anyone else having this happen?
I have looked through the website and have not seen this particular issue. I have an HTC One (M7) and have Webroot secureAnywhere loaded. Things seemed to be running fine until recently. Webroot will start to do it's scan and it gets halfway through when it crashes and goes back to the Webroot app stating that I may be at risk and that my scan is out of date. There is a button that says "Fix This Now". I click on it, and I get the same results - scans until about halfway and then kicks itself out to the app. My phone is not rooted. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Webroot, but I end up with the same results. Does anyone have any ideas? Gary
