Started this morning - Webroot picked up and identified the Trojan "Android.SMSsend" in wssyncmlnps com.wssnps....I tried to unistall and it can not be unistalled nor can I identify which sub routine is running this service. Is this a real threat or not? and if not why did Webroot just start picking this up ? -Orion
I have WSA Complete on android tablet. Today it caught a threat it claims is a Trojan: Android.smssend ,Wssyncmlnps Com.wssnps.....this is the app info. Can't seem to quarantine. or uninstall. Looked it up under settings>apps>all, wssyncmlnps. I found it but it seems like it came with the tablet, already installed. It has a lot of permissions. Not sure if I should force stop, ignore, or just shut down tablet; using it but not sure if safe.Anyone else with same problem? Boyfriend's tablet , same thing. We share the Webroot & both have Samsung galaxy tab 3.
Hi, I was wondering if Webroot has released any specialized detector for Heartbleed bug in Android devices. Or does WSA mobile for Android already detects it? As mentioned here, When Google announced it had patched its key services, it also mentioned Android was largely unaffected, with one (big) exception -- devices running Android 4.1.1 The good news is Google has already sent a patch to its Android partners. The bad news? Now we have to wait for those partners to implement it, followed by carriers testing and pushing out the update. Android users know how slow this process can be. Hopefully with the critical nature of the Heartbleed bug, and the attention it's received, these partners and carriers will work quickly to get the fix out. In the meantime, it would be

Hi, I've been consistently trying to work with support concerning my LG2 android cell phone. I previously posted that WSA would stop unexpectantly while going to my email and clicking on link to Webroot Community. I would have to restart from. program menu of WSAC. Support troubleshooting advised to clear cache and reboot with clean install of WSAC. Then that didn't resolve issue. I then was asked to set phone to default settings by going to Factory data reset..of course backing up contacts of course..that hasn't worked either...Ticket support then has asked me to go #1-go to google play store, download an app. Called CatLog-logcat reader. #2-open it and record..#3-recreate issue reported. I followed 11 steps and have sent log files a few times to Support. Can anyone advise me any further. My trouble support ticket is calling me in the morning to assist. But now I can't get WSAC to update virus protection. Have yellow exclamation mark with faded grey icon. So I'll w
Hello, I have the webroot secure anywhere app & I've upgraded it using one of my licenses that I had purchased, after restarting my phone I was logged out of webroot & when I logged back in, only the free version was active, if I retype my product key to activate my secure anywhere plus, will it use up another licence?
When searching the web...my android will freeze for a sec and saids WebrootAnywhere has stopped. Webroot icon disappears and reappears seconds later. Have any ideas why this happens now and then? What details do I need to know for Android community to problem solve this? I guess as long as Webroot pops back on..it's ok?
I have recently been a victim of identity theff and have found out what and how they did it. No matter what I do if I turn on my mobile data when at m moms someone hijacks my phone and changed the device access code even so i'm locked out of my phone. They time out my phone when searching websites like Amazone and they change my passwords to my email and facebook page and I'm unable to log in. I know that they have to be within wifi range for them to hijack or see what your seeing on your phone, but how can i prevent them from connecting with my phone I dont have WIFI no more I like to use the mobile data, is there something I can do besides change my number or format the phone to prevent this cause those two options dont work.
Hi I'm looking for software for a couple of mobile phones as the existing software isn't doing the job it promises. I need mobile phone security to be able to show the location of the device on a map either via software or web browser, to be able to send alert messages to the device when it is stolen and most importantly cannot be wiped from the phone if the thief performs a factory reset. From what I can see on the Webroot features, it can offer the mapping and remote messaging, but I cannot find anything about factory resetting. Can Webroot integrate into a custom ROM that will survive a factory reset/custom boot? Thanks, Helen
Hi all, I just recently upgraded to WSA Complete from WSA-AV. I am trying to activate the complete version on my Kindle Fire HD, and I keep getting the "Invalid keycode" error. I have checked the internet connection, and the email address, password and keycode, and all are typed correctly. Any advice? Shran :D
Can someone explain "Wakelocks" to me? I recently installed "Wakelock Detector-Save Battery" on my Samsung Note 10.1. After running it for just a couple days, it is reporting that WSA Mobile has the highest number of wakelocks and this accounts for over 42 minutes on my tablet?! In addition, it's had 342 "wakeup triggers". (This is the second highest number of triggers; second only to Samsung Push Service at 544.) I am assuming that based upon this information that WSA is a rather significant drain on my tablet's battery and I'm wondering if I need to find a different mobile AV?! (PrevxHelp from Wilder's suggested that I post here at the forums. So, please forgive me if you've already read this post at Wilder's....)

trying to install Secure anywhere complete on android phone. I am using correct email address and password, and keycode. I am receiving an error. Account creation failed. Raw error. com.webroot. engine. license check failed due to invalid keycode. I am using keycode that was emailed to me. It does work on my pc.
I have tried to get the Secure Anywhere to download to my phone (android) and my tablet. On both devices I get the 'ERROR' message that others seem to have received before also. I have made sure that my e-mail and password are correct and that my keycode is correct but program still will not download and still gives me the error report every time. I do not know what else to do. I do not know if my phone is "rooted" and both devices always have internet. What options do I have now?
Hello, I recently upgraded my android phone to the premier version of WSAM. I'm tryiing to block a number that keeps calling me from area code 011... that's how it comes up on my phone anyways... but the number seems to be too long, or not in the correct format for webroot to block it.... the number shows in my call log as +011-866-4550723, but won't let me enter that through the call logs menu, or manually entering it into the block list. Is there a special way I need to put that in to block it? Or can I only block 10 digit numbers? Thanks.
