My Visual Land Android tablet does not show up as protected on the console page. If I uninstall Webroot Anywhere Mobile from Google Play and re-install it, the console recognizes it for a few hours, but reverts to all zeros the next day. If it gets lost or stolen, I cannot locate it or lock it. Support has been no help at all after three tries and don't seem to comprehend the problem. They keep saying install Webroot Secure Browser, but it is not listed in Google Play because evidently it is not compatible with my tablet. They keep saying reinstall the free app, but don't install Webroot Complete. So, I really don't know if the installed app is getting up to date definitions to run its scans since it's all 0's on the website console. I don't have password access and have to depend on Last Pass which is awkward. I paid for the update to have Webroot Premier on the tablet. I have another console that shows my computers, and are Webroo
I have been getting red alert errors on my Samsung Galaxy SII. It is telliing me that tthis is a Trojan and needs to be removed. Webroot has been unable to remove this item. I had this problem before with the same results. I powered the phone off, removed the battery and SDcard. The last time that phone was kept out of service for a couple weeks. I needed some info. on that phone, I decided to bring the phone back on line to get that info. There were no red alert msgs till now. Has anyone had the same problem with a Tracone phone? What had to be done to address this problem?
I upgraded to SecureAnywhere Complete and when I try to install the app on my Galaxy Note 4, I get the error above. My username and password are correct and the keycode is pasted directly from an email sent from Webroot. I installed the free version of security mobile and upgraded to the premier and from there added my orignal keycode and it informed me to download the SecureAnywhere Complete. Please help.
Hi, I'm trying out Webroot Android on our family phones. I put it on an LG V20 and tried out the locate feature. All worked as expected, phone responded & located, position reported. However, this locked the phone with the "This phone has been locked by Webroot, enter Webroot password" (or similar) but does not put up the keyboard to enter the password! This has rendered the phone inaccessible. I have a request in to support, but thought I'd check here if this has been encountered / solved before. Thanks. ps--Webroot, I really don't want the phone locked so dramatically if I locate it. The lock button is right there and I know how to use it. What if I want to silently locate it or spy on my kids? If a thief sees right away the phone and s/he are being tracked they're either going to toss it or turn it off.
I thought that SecureWeb Browser (SWB) functions more less in the same way how WSA protects the supported browsers on PCs. I mean for instance having the checkmarks in Google search, blocking the bad rated webpages (tested on ...tube where while I've got a warning on PC I've got nothing on Android and the page loads) etc. It looks like that none of the said features are presented in SWB. Therefore can you shed more light or am I missing something? Thanks & regards, pegas
I am hoping that someone can help me. We have used Webroot for many years for our 3 home pc's and now we are moving into the Android world. I have loaded the free android app to my tablet but when I go to log in it says that I have too many activations. I have 3 pc's and Webroot itself says that we should be able to also have 3 android devices. Has anyone had this issue and if so, how did you solve it. Thanks ---------- (Edited for more informative subject line - Jim)
Please fix the bug where persistent status re-enables itself after phone reboot. I have to go to Webroot settings and check/uncheck Persistent Status EVERY single time I reboot my phone. If this bug is intentionally being ignored by Webroot developers, then it is a lousy and underhanded way of reminding users of your brand. Please fix this, it is extremely annoying. EDIT: Phone: Galaxy S3 Android Version: 4.4.2 Webroot Version: Webroot SecureAnywhere Mobile Premier v188.8.131.5210
The Kindle Fire HDX has a modified Android OS. Question 1: Is Webroot Internet Security Complete compatible with Kindle Fire HDX OS? Question 2: If Q1 is true, does the installation process differ (require a special installation script) from a normal installation to an Android device? Thanks, Richard
when i log in to mywebrootsecureanywhere, it shows one mobile device (my samsung) protected. when i click on add a mobile device from my wife's lg, an android device, the webroot secure anywhere site shows the application already installed. but it isn't. how to get it installed?
I am running Webroot SecureAnywhere Mobile Premier v184.108.40.20656 on an Android tablet. I recently ran into the problem of the Webroot icon in the status bar no longer appearing after an upgrade of the WSA app a little over a week ago. Reading the posts here on that issue, I did uninstall and reinstall WSA with no problem and the icon has now returned. Afterwards I noticed that the option to have myself force check for signature updates is no longer present. Does this mean that WSA for Android is now using the cloud based solution to stay up-to-date instead of downloading signature files automatically or by doing it myself?
Please some wonderful person slide me some Intel on how to get the unlock key/code for a phone that recently had its sim taken out only to be replaced and now this customer is locked out. He does not remember his code to unlock his device and is seriously harassing me to figure it out for him. I would install WR on my device but I dont think that would help too much. Somebody PLEASE HELP I don't like him when he gets like this. Thanks a million. Melody.
