Battery Usage on AndroidKnowledge Base
Question
I'm seeing massively high battery usage from Webroot on my Android. Why?
Answer
If you run a scan immediately after unplugging from a power source, the metrics presented in the Android OS battery usage meter are skewed by virtue of the fact that it starts tabulating battery usage immediately following the disconnection from the power source. Likewise, readings may be similarly skewed if you have just installed Webroot for the first time, ran the first scan, and then checked consumption in Webroot's own App Inspector. Most battery monitors work like how gas mileage on a car is calculated for a single trip. Immediately when you turn on the car, it shows you 0.0 MPG, and as you start to drive, that number increases. Not having enough data to go off of, the results are skewed until enough data is available for the reading to be statistically valid. Try leaving your Android on for a while and checking back in again later. You will

Android "Incompatible Application" blocking re-install of Webroot after OS upgrade
My Android phone OS was upgraded today to "ice cream sandwich", which wiped out all the apps. Went to play.google.com to reinstall the apps. Trying to reinstall "SecureAnywhere Complete" and "Webroot Security & Antivirus". Getting the "Incompatible Application" warning while trying to launch "SecureAnyhere". Incompatible with what? I can not even close the warning screen, other than to minimize it. This never happened before and I have no idea what is causing this and how to get past this. Webroot please advise. Factory Reset Phone, Subscription now does not work.
I recently just reset my phone thinking that it would make a bug go away. I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII, and I bought the premier version during black Friday for $1.07. After reinstalling Webroot, I have the free version, and I am unable to reupdate my app to the permier version. Can someone help me?
How to get rid of security/pass code after uninstalling. (ANDROID)
Hi, I recently insalled Webroot Security & Antivirus for my Android phone. I like the app alot but I sadly had to uninstall the program due to lack of space in my phone. I logged into webroot as well and removed the device from where I'd registered it. My problem is whenever I turn on my phone the screen lock thing still comes up (where it wants my security/pass number). I do not know how to get rid of the screen. I can get into my phone and everything but I just don't want the security screen to keep coming up every time even though I've uninstalled the app. I can't find any thing about this through my searches or in the options in my phone. Please help.

Kindle fire setting device administrator
Good afternoon, I just installed Webroot on my Kindle Fire HD 8.9. As part of the set up I wanted to set up the password and set WR as a device administrator. The webroot set up keeps telling me the device administrator is in an unsafe status. When I click on the fix button it takes me back to set up screen and I end up going into the loop seeing the same thing. When I go to the kindles settings page it will not let me select Webroot as an administrator, it shows up under the administrator section but is not selected. Any idea how to fix this so I can lock down the system with a password? Thanks
Phone says "no sim card" even though I haven't taken it out
This problem has happened several times in the last couple of days where I take my phone out and it says "No SIM card". I turned off SIM card lock protection but that didn't help. A simple restart of my phone is all it takes to get the SIM card recognized again. Webroot must be doing something else in the background as part of it's lockdown of the SIM card that it causing this problem. Anyone else have something similar? And suggestions on how to fix it without restarting? It's a bit annoying, so if there is no fix, I'll just have to uninstall Webroot entirely. Thanks for the help!

How do I download webroot for my Polaroid Tablet?
I purchased 4 new Polaroid Tablets for my kids for Christmas. They are Polaroid PMID800 Tablets. I have been trying to purchase Webroot Secure Anywhere Complete for these tablets and 1 other laptop that has McAfee that is expiring this month. I currently have Webroot on my own laptop and love the service. I have spoken with your Sales Dept twice in the past 2 days as I cannot figure out how to download Webroot on the Tablets. They Tablets do not have the Google Playstore on them and when I spoke to sales they said I could download Webroot from that App but we don't have it.I called them back and they said to try downloading the playstore App and then downloading the free Webroot anitvirus. I tried that too but it won't let me download the playstore app because even though the Tablets are powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich they are not on the list of compatible tablets for Google Playstore at this time so I can't download it. Hope you can help, my kids are chomping at the bit to

Preventing access through the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection by a device owned by another person.
A few days ago someone accessed my Android phone through either the Wi-Fi or the Bleutooth port and installed an app that threatened to disable all data and Internet services. I suspect that it was a prank that doesn't actually do anything because there was no effect to the operation of my phone but it was insulting and irritating to have my phone attacked in this way. I have since installed Webroot Secure Anywhere and I was wondering if it prevents such attacks and does it log any information that would help me to identify the culprit if necessary?
Locked out of my Motorola Razr
I recently reloaded Webroot SecureAnywhere after resetting my Motorola Razr. After resetting my account and answering the security questions I decided to "locate" my phone to see how it works. The map came up on the Webroot website, it showed me where my phone was and I was happy. The next time i picked up my phone it is locked. The "Lock Screen" comes on for a half a second then the screen/phone shuts off again. I was careful not to select any other option, including "Lock" but "locate my device" but somehow the phone is locked. How do I unlock it? All looks well when I relog into My Webroot. The log shows I located the phone some minutes ago but does not indicate it is locked. Nor do I see any indication that indicates that the phone is locked or how to locked it. After continuing to play with the phone the lock screen comes on for a 1/2 second then the phone shuts down. Sometimes then next screen unlock screen comes on for t

Scan freezes - apparently draining battery!
I have Webroot SecureAnywhere Mobile Complete on my HTC Incredible 2 (Android). My battery has been draining so rapidly lately that I ordered a new one, and that one is doing the same thing. My investigations led me to the battery usage on my phone, which showed that SecureAnywhere is using 43%. When I went into SecureAnywhere, I attempted to go the Antivirus Scan screen, but the scan was frozen and would not cancel. I restarted the device, and now the scanning always freezes on this package: "Scanning SD card: com.cinemark.mobile_12.apk." Please advise.
