Android Beta Issues
Secure Anywhere for Android beta has started giving a message on my phone that "You might be at risk - Current scan out of date" I then run a scan and the message does not go as it should bet remains. This started yesterday and prior to that all was quiet and running smoothly in the back ground. Has anyone else experienced this issue or have a valid resolution to the problem.
I'm a bit confused. I'd have a problem with trying to get into my receipt account. So I had to request an forgot my password. This time it worked, Do I have to get an app called webroot? Or go by browser method? I haven't dropped my old messages yet,in my email address. And having a mental fugue going into my medulla-oblongta
My console shows my mobile app needs attention...
I'm having a problem with my console showing my mobile device needs attention, "current scan out of date" so I open the app, scan and nothing changes. The scan completes and shows no problems so what's up with the message? Also, when I click the "how to fix" button it talks about 'responding to alerts' but my phone shows no alerts. I don't know if this is a glitch or what? Any suggestions? Phone seems fine... also, when I go to my console on my laptop, it doesn't show my laptop. I click on the blank space and it shows my laptop then, but not on the console. That's what makes me think I have some kind of glitch. Any ideas? Thanks
You may be at risk!?
For what seems like the fifth time in as many months, Webroot has greeted me with a "You may be at risk" Alert on my Android Device. OK! Except, as it turns out I was NEVER actually at risk, it was just my security provider, LYING to me and apparently using SCARE TACTICS to get me to agree to changes in contract terms. Webroot is supposed to be protecting me, not BULLYING me. The mixed message is frustrating and confusing. If you need me to agree to new contract terms, please simply ask me to do so. Alarming me with a notice that is completely unrelated smacks of practices commonly used by cyber-criminals to phish. By using the "you may be at risk" to deliver an otherwise benign message make it sound like a threat. Like you intend to PUT my device at risk if I don't agree to terms. Frankly I'm shocked that apparently, no red flags have gone off at Webroot over this. At the very least, this whole practice is both passive-aggressive and just a bit on the greasy side of unprofessional. I
Android Scan for Viruses Returns Instantly With Scan Complete
When I scan my pixel 3 using webroot by clicking the "Scan for Viruses" button, I see a progress bar that says "scanning" very briefly and then it almost instantly goes to "Scan complete" with "no threats found". I have scanned many times before and this is unusual. When I logon to the webroot site, I can see that it thinks my phone needs attention. It says the current scan is out of date. I uninstalled/reinstalled and have the same issue.
Mr Lars Martensson
Hello! This I belive is the first time I'm using this forum!? I have in the last 24 hours got a notice from my mobile that your app (downloaded today from Google play) is draining the battery!? I have also noticed that the Call & SMS blocking function is gone, this without any notice to me!? I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times but the phone still keeps alerting me on the battery usage!! Can you please give me back the old version with the call & sms function since I badly need this! It's one thing to release updates but then one must be sure these are working without problems for the user! Yahoo has similar issues but they just don't seems to care!? Sincerely, Lars Martensson PS: Please replay on my e-mail only!!
WSA Mobile won't scan for viruses after recent WSA update
Smartphone Nokia 3.1 TA-1049 DS 2/16 Android 9 ("Android ONE" version). Tablet Asus Zenpad 8.0 P00A(Z380M) Android 7. After recent WSA Mobile Complete update neither device will SCAN for viruses when VPN is connected, error code 1011. Never had this problem before recent WSA Mobile update 220.127.116.11995. VPN service is "Private Internet Access" with current subscription purchased before introduction of Webroot's VPN product. The recent update also caused both devices to experience the high battery drain issue described elsewhere here in another topic thread and in the Google Play Store customer reviews.

WSA Mobile "Persistent Status" icon unstable after V.18.104.22.168995 update
Smartphone Nokia 3.1 TA-1049 DS 2/16 Android 9 ("Android ONE" version). After the recent Mobile update V.22.214.171.124995, the WSA "Persistent Status" icon to indicate security status randomly vanishes. Also, simultaneously, Android's bubble notification attached to the Webroot shortcut icon also disappears. I'm wondering if those indications also mean WSA has terminated and has ceased security monitoring. Those indications don't reappear until the WSA shortcut icon is tapped as if to restart the app. This issue is in addition to to all the other deleterious issues the phone has since the update as discussed in other Community topic threads and recent Play Store reviews. None of the problems manifested on my phone until the recent WSA Mobile update.
Mobile device infected in console but not threat on the mobile when scanning
On the console this is what you can read: but when I do a scan directly on this same device (I have only one mobile with webroot installed), the scan comes back clear: Deleted Console screen shot due to members email address was visible on it. Please blank out all private information on screen shots before posting. ~ PTD. So… what does that mean? Why am getting a “device infected” warning in the console? N.B.: My mobile is a Galaxy 5. Thank you in advance for your answer.
Unable to sign 2nd mobile device into console
I installed the SecureAnywhere on an S8 for both my wife and myself. On my wife's I was able to sign into the software and it created a console for me. I then went to sign into the SecureAnywhere software on my own S8. I choose the option "I already have an account" and then enter my creds. I get an error: Account creation failed. The license check server returned an invalid response. Unexpected: 1 Error(URFM998): Console creation has been exceeded [FailureType=UnexpectedError(-1)]. I should mention that in business I'm a webroot partner and I have a business Webroot console under the same credentials. When I log into my.webrootanywhere.com I am able to see my business console or my personal console. Any suggestions on how to fix this error and allow me to add my second device to the same console?
Tablet warns WSA-Mobile is malware upon updating
Immediately after updating WSA-Mobile to version 126.96.36.199428 my Asus Android 7.0 tablet showed a warning that WSA is malware (see attached screenshot). The update was downloaded from the Google Play Store, wherein the problem is also reported in the user reviews. I crossed my fingers and clicked to "IGNORE" the warning to complete the installation. Does anybody in the Community have any ideas of explanation? Thanks.
Unable to Contact my device when off
I'm new to this app and asking if I can get help plz? I had my phone stolen when I fell asleep in a public place. I remember turning the phone off at 12:16am. I'm trying to get webroot to locate my device but it's only saying that it's unable to contact the device. Looking like it has yet to be powered back up bcuz each other new search says same. My question is: can I do something to get last known location and is there a way to find the device while it's turned off? Are user's limited to what they have access to compared to getting in contact with your company? If u have the ability to find the device while it's off would you mind sharing with me 😊
