I read that when you need to use the Scream feature to find your phone in the house you need to send your phone an SMS. How do you send your phone an SMS if it's lost and you cant make an SMS?

Hi Wanda,

Welcome to the Webroot Community and thank you for joining :D

There are a couple of ways to accomplish this task.

The first method is to log in to your My Webroot Accountt, select "Mobile Security," double- click on your phone and then select the "Lost Device Protection" tab.  You will then see a button you can select to send the SCREAM command as well as the other options available to you.

Another way to do this is via your cellular providers website.  Most, if not all US cellular providers allow you to send SMS messages from your account page.

Lastly, you can have someone else send an SMS from their phone to your phone with the SCREAM command, However, this method can be  a security risk, as you would have to provide that person with your Webroot password.

I hope this answers your question.  If you have any more questions, please let us know.

Thanks,
