How do I request a refund? What is the refund policy?

If you purchased online from 

Click here to start the refund process. You will need the invoice number and the exact dollar amount shown on the invoice total. For assistance with refunds, contact our Consumer Sales Team.


If you purchased from a retail store:

If you have not opened your software, the quickest way to get your refund is to bring your software back to the store where it was purchased. If you have already opened your software or are unable to return it to the store, we can issue a refund check if you have the following:

  • Original receipt of purchase. The receipt must be dated within 70 days of your refund request.
  • The original software disc.
  • Package insert with the keycode (20 alphanumeric characters).

If you have all of these items, send them to one of the addresses below. Include your full name and your mailing address.

Webroot does not refund shipping/handling expenses or sales tax. We recommend that all returns be shipped via traceable carrier. If you choose to ship a return via non-traceable carrier, Webroot will not be held responsible for lost or stolen items.

Once we have received your information, we will process the refund and send you a refund check. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
