Hoping I can explain correctly. Yesterday I was prompted to perform a 'Clean Up' on my Laptop. When completed, I tried to log onto Facebook and found the sign on page to be scrambled. Went to my email account (Hotmail) only to find once logged in, I an also unable to access my inbox. After that, checked with Webroot account, to find it also is compromised. The page itself is no longer with normal 'pictures', but everything is page left. When I click on any link, nothing happens. Today I found when attempting Pintrest, the person I was trying to 'follow' ended up being reported as a spam! This is all happening with Firefox, the browser I used when downloading Webroot over the weekend. I have signed on with IE, and have no problems. But. The issue remains with Webroot account. I truly do not wish to use IE. What could have caused this? I uninstalled Firefox twice, no change. Thanks for taking your time in reading and hopefully finding a solution for my problem.
Win7 Pro x86. I ran an update checker, and Java had a new update available on 7/14/2014!?- Java 8 Build 11 I usually get a check weekly n otification, but not this time? I tried to update it from the Control Panel GUI, but said could not connect to server...? So I downloaded it from Filehippo, and installed it manually- Restarted three times, and IE10 Java verify is blank?- Even though a new Java version shows in Manage Addons. When I'm installing Flash/Java/... in IE10/FF30, do I need to temp shutdown WSA protection (I see the lock on my W taskbar icon), the same for program installs/uninstalls & defrag?
I was reading the page about Webroot gaming as I am personally a big gamer. I just purchased a 2 year license for webroot thinking the standard webroot and webroot for pc gamers were the same thing. Now I am seeing that it has its own category in the drop down. So is there really a webroot for pc gamers version that is different than the standard version? If so will my license work in the gamer version? I just bought the license hours ago so I could try and cancel it if needed but I hope not! Please let me know if there is any actual difference, if so can I use the gamer with this license key? Thanks!
When I run the Webroot scan, how do I find what the results tell? How do I find the devices that are not functioning in order to fix them? This is one thing that I find frustrating about Webroot. It scans, but never gives enough information to fix the issues found.
I used the Webroot Secure Anywhere System Analyzer and it told me under the Software section that : A large number of temporary files have been found. (1606 MB - Windows/IE only). I need help removing these temporary files especially since the number of MB from the Windows/IE section keeps increasing. If anyone can help me it would greatly be appreciated.
Please does anyone know how to get rid of Searchinterneat-a.akamaihd.net? I don't know where it came from. Right now I have tried uninstalling anything that looks suspicious through the programs and features APP in Windows 10, also have looked through the common programs under c:program files common and not and removed unknown. I scan with webroot every day. Has anyone had this problem and successfully solved it? I would appreciate any help you might have. Thank you. rturn6
I am looking for any product information on a Complete Version of this WebRoot product. I'll take any information about it's usefulness, what you needed to do to have to load/download it on the computer, personal experiances with it, etc. I got the Webroot Secure Anywhere Complete for Home Version but someone told me that it doesn't have Back-up and Share on it.

Last week on Friday Webroot started making a file on my C drive called program and windows would give me an error on start up telling me about it asking me to rename it or ignore it. I also noticed the loading circle next to my mouse cursor was constantly going no matter how long the computer was on. I went to my startup programs and disabled Webroot and restarted my computer the loading circle then didn’t show up unless I tried to manually start Webroot in any way. I called Webroot customer service after doing all that when I saw the loading had stopped they had me do a few things including renaming the file it made on the C drive to program.exe and deleting it, putting my computer into safe mode and trying to uninstall the program manually using the windows uninstaller, making a shortcut to the original .exe and adding -uninstall to the target line, going back to regular booting and trying it there as well. They then gave me a logging program and said they would automatically rece
I have recently updated Skype and now find that WSA is monitoring the following file: [U] c:usersemoappdatalocalmicrosoftingsvcingsvc.exe. My scan log shows three consecutive entries of the monitoring. I recollect that when I updated Skype they requested that I make Bing my default search engine and I declined. This seems unusal behaviour to me. Does anyone else have this and can I stop the monitoring? Nemo
