E-mails:Receiving junk e-mail but not the e-mails.
Hello Community! I have been receiving e-mails normally until this week: when I clicked "STAR", "Windows Mail"... noticed that the most important "INBOX" folder shows the message "There are no items in this view". However next to the word "Inbox" the counting (number of e-mails) of e-mails increases after I click the "Send/Receive". I cannot see the e-mails under the INBOX screen ...but see all e-mails send under the "Sent Items". How can I resolve this problem so I can see the incoming e-mails in the computer (btw I can see all e-mails in a phone but not in the computer). I want to see the incoming e-mails in my computer...so any ideas of resolving this issue is appreciated. Thanks!
Web shield & SSL connections
I asked a more general question on this over on Wilders forums but I have more specific question on Webshield functions when using SSL connection. Specifically on identifying driveby downloads etc. On HTTPS connections such as with banking, shopping etc. it will check for phishing but obviously cannot check the HTTPS stream. Is this also true when using SSL tunneling such as a VPN or SSL proxy (E.G. Zenamte addon for Chrome). So oddly am I more secure browsing unknown sites over HTTP, so the shields can see the traffic before it hits my browser? I would prefer to run a VPN permanenty (for privacy and wifi security) but want to understand if this adversly affects other layers of security.
Support during Weekends
Hi, I currently have two pending issues with Webroot support, however I wanted to ask about the working hours of support personnel. Will I need to wait until Monday to obtain an answer or will someone do a followup during the weekend? Thanks and Regards, Carlos
Ragnarok Online 2 game issues
Hi guys, I've been experiencing some problems when launching RO2client.exe, I had a similar experience when tried the chinese client before, the only way to run the game was shutting down wrsa.exe, I think the hackshield tool detects It as an speedhack because sometimes It sends a warning about using one. Also when first launched the game I got the following warning: http://www.flickr.com/photos/116402644@N07/12314303184/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/116402644@N07/12314303024/ Thanks in advance for any suggestion and for sharing any similar experience regarding this subject PS: Confirmed US client also runs disabling wrsa.exe I think the problem resides on the Hackshield Tool: HackShield SDK Version:18.104.22.168(Build 351)
seeking Product information
I am looking for any product information on a Complete Version of this WebRoot product. I'll take any information about it's usefulness, what you needed to do to have to load/download it on the computer, personal experiances with it, etc. I got the Webroot Secure Anywhere Complete for Home Version but someone told me that it doesn't have Back-up and Share on it.
Offline Shield repeatedly disables itself
I must have changed an option & cant find the setting to change it back. About once an hour or so I will notice my webroot icon is not green and there is an exclamation point on it. So I will open the webroot console and see that a shield has been disabled. It is always the offline database shield. I will select the link to re-enable the shield and it will be OK for a bit. Why is it repeatedly turning itself off, and how can I correct this issue ? I'd rather not uninstall and re-install; but understand if there is no other fix.
LEDsales (my site) tagged as unsafe
As the owner of this site, I know it is clean. This started a week or two ago and site traffic seems to have dropped since then. I have also been getting quite a number of false positives for other sites that I know are safe and virus free. A large number of false positives means the protection the software should provide becomes useless as it can't be trusted. Interested in how many other people are finding this a problem, and whether it is affecting their site traffic like it seems to be mine.
MAC OS X Installation Tip For Safari Browser
I discovered a small flaw installing SecureAnywhere on my Macs if you have more than one user account and your other accounts don't have admin privilages. The WSA security extention for Safari does not install on the non-admin accounts. The work around: You must enable admin rights on all accounts before installing. If you installed before enabling the admin rights, go into each account, enable admin rights, log into the account, open Webroot, disable and re-enable web security. The installer will launch and you can then install the security extention on the account. Don't forget to turn off admin rights when done! Just a tip from your uncle Earle! Webroot: Modify the software to prompt for the admin password!!!
Relocate WRData folder with symbolic link
Did that because it grows rapidly - it is 5GB right now - and I wanted to reduce the daily backup size. I read today that WSA uses this folder to repair infected files, even recovers from ransomware. So... is this a big no-no, or is it maybe even better to have that data on another disk?
how to check for good keycodes for products
I have gotten a number of additional webroot year subscriptions through tech service when we had issues with two of our systems. They said that when my old subscription ran out to enter the new ones. I have had them two years now and forgot about them. Plus I was on the auto renewal apparently. Since that has stopped. But how do I find out if these are any good or not. I got them through geek squad at Best Buy.
When I run my Webroot Analyzer it tells me 2 things 1. Webroot tells me that " There are highly fragmented files which is impacting performance " I have 'Defraged' my pc but my 'System Reserve' is at 3% fragmented, and will not let me 'Defrag' it. 2, Webroot aslo tells me " An active process has a possible memory leak (explorer.exe) I looked into this and alot of these issues are that 'explorer' is running around 300 megs and up, Webroot has not found a solution to this but I was hoping someone can lend some of there great ideas into how I can resolve these 2 issues? Thank you so much in advance -Matt

Every system scan results in "two threats removed".
Using Webroot SecureAnywhere on Windows 8 laptop and everytime I scan my computer, Webroot claims that two threats were removed. I'll run scans back to back and find the same "two threats removed" result. Why aren't these threats actually being removed?
WebShield rating of websites discussing Malwarebytes
Before installing Malwarebytes "Free" (vs Pro) a check for "malwarebytes free review" and "malwarebytes free removal" was being researched. Almost every website (pcmag.com, malwarebytes.org, en.wikipedia.org, amazon.com, techrepublic.com, etc.) get a Webshield Score of 40 (These are suspicious sites. There is a higher than average probability that the user will be exposed to malicious links or payloads.) Can someone explain this? I believe it to be an "error" or my lack of understanding. Godspeed
