Hi everyone, I see a lot of posts about Webroot having a browser extension, and in the Webroot settings I see an option to display safetey ratings in search results, but I don't have any extension from Webroot, and I also don't have any ratings from Webroot in my search results. Is this only a feature of the higher level subscriptions, or is the AntiVirus supposed to have this too? Thanks, Shran
Without my knowledge, consent or permission, Webroot installed whats called: "Webroot Filtering Extension" in my Firefox browser. Webroot's extension does not provide a "Remove" button which all ofher Firefox extensions have. Nor does it have an uninstall option through the conrol panel.
Hi everyone, Today I was using my computer as usual, and Webroot suddenly threw up a "Infection found" message. I ran a scan and it found 2 rootkits, however, these two rootkits were registry keys that turned out belonged to Norton, and when Webroot tried to remove them (I see from the quarantine that it removed more than just the two that the realtime protection caught) Norton went absolutely crazy. Norton's auto protect failed and couldn't get turned back on by Norton's "Auto-fix" and in the Norton logs I see "unauthorized access blocked...C:Program FilesWebrootWRSA.exe". Norton also asked me to uninstall Webroot (which I have temporarily) but I have been loving Webroot and will probably re-install it, but I want to get this fixed so that I can run them both together. I know that the system is clean because it was a backup image that I had made after a completely clean installation of Windows just yesterday. Another thing I noticed is that after installing and even after
Hi..............I just installed WSA 2014 and so far I am not impressed. Please fix my problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 2x. There is no webshield/filter running or installed in either IE 11 or Chrome. I am using Win 7 Home Premium 64bit. There is also an ongoing thread at Wilders. I do not even have the crx file listed by Triple Helix. So what gives? IThe eicar test does not even get blocked. Thanks. What is WSA IS's ability to protect against keylogging by extensions on the following browsers: Internet Explorer Chrome Firefox Example: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/kl/?src=cb-dl-created Additionally, an extension-based keylogger in Firefox and Chrome would be impossible to detect by WSA since the file extensions are not monitored (Chrome) or are usually made up of plain text components (Firefox), is that correct?
So I have been having issues connecting to the internet the last week or so, ever since the last Windows 7 update.. Whether wireless or hooked up to router, nothing.I keep getting an error message " no ip address" . I turned off Webroot, everything is working again, connectivity, ip address, until I enable Webroot. Any ideas?
I put in a new keycode and did the same for the other 2 pc's and everything is working except the password manager that says it's expired. What do I need to do to fix this and get my auto fill passwords working again? thanks for the help Chris
I have been testing Webroot's Identity Shield and multiple times it does not stop the screen grabing attack. It is sucsesfull at blocking most (most, but not all) keystrokes from being logged, however, when using a screen capture program Webroot does not block or even notify that an application is attempting to take screenshots. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Webroot multiple times but I get the same results. Please advise. Shran
When I access the Help and Support using the Webroot SecureAnywhere v18.104.22.168 's process in the following procedure:

go to Systray
click small up arrow to make hidden items appear
right click on Webroot SecureAnywhere's icon, and
select Help and Support
the redirect takes me to http://products.webroot.com/disp0201.php?oc=219&pc=64150&rc=2713&kc=p%5ESP%5E% which does not load? A blank page appears. I operate Windows 7 Home Premium, Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.16428. Is this another peculiarity of IE 11? In the past when I had the previous version of Webroot SecureAnywhere, and also had IE 10, everything worked smoothly. But now that is not the case. edit added: Also when I click the above link (after posting this query), the same blank page appears. I'm not certain that the link is complete.
My Webroot SecureAnywhere v22.214.171.124 is setup to be all exclusive. Unfortunately it blocks the Windows Accessory "Snipping Tool" the ability to function while online. (1) Where do I go within SecureAnywhere, to grant Snipping Tool permission to function, and is there a difference between online and offline? (2) What do I write in the line when I get to the proper location in the Webroot v8.....? For example: SnippingTool is identified by its properties as: %windir%system32SnippingTool.exe Is that how I would write it?
So here's the issue... - Launch game (in this case Star Wars: The Old Republic) in fake fullscreen (borderless windowed) mode. - Open Firefox and keep it open so that the game is running background (Firefox window on top of game window). - Start typing asdasdasdadadasdasdasda in texbox on web page - Click the game windows active to hide the browser - Character starts running circle because a, s, d or they all are stuck and you have to press those keys again to fix it. This hurts multitasking a lot while gaming. I do not know if this is app specific but it certainly happens in SW:TOR. Disabling Identity Shield fixes this. OS: W8.1 Pro x64, Finnish keyboard layout.
Hello all, I just bought a black Friday deal (not from webroot itself) but from Newegg since it was cheaper. The issue is I cannot seem to merge my two keys. (I downloaded the Denver Broncos trial from social media) Any advice? Matt
Hi, I just purchased directly from Webroot's online website a deeply discounted holiday special 3-Seat 3-year WSA and downloaded the installation file and saved the Key info in a secure physical location. However, I'm not ready to use it until approximately 10 months from now on 3 machines. After reading the the auto renewal disclosure, I was wondering if my subscription clock might somehow start ticking prematurely if I chose today or tomorrow to Opt-Out from auto renewal per the posted instructions? Or, should I wait until I actually install the this new subscription on the 3 machines in 10 months before performing the auto renewal opt-out procedure? Also, if I do opt-out of auto renewal, may I still manually renew without having to reinstall WSA (as long as I do it before my subscription has expired)? I'm a big fan of Murphy's Law and we are talking about the later part of 2017, which is way out there, and who knows where I'll be
even though i am running secureanywhere, i picked up some malware yesterday. thankfully malwarebytes cleaned it. now i notice that my firewall and identity shield are disabled and i can not get them to turn on. then i signed into my account and see that webroot hasn't been tracking my computer scans since march (my second pc's information is current). how do i get the firewall and identity shield to enable and why is my machine not reporting/being logged by webroot?
Password software was working just fine and I really loved it. I have been getting accustom to win 8 and finally was liking it. I upgraded to win8.1 and got it working ok except the Webroot Password software will not work. I lost my quick launch icon. I have logged into Webroot and got into my password software but I still can not get it to work. Even when I click on one of my sites on the list that are passworded it will not take me there. This is my first post and I hope someone will come to my rescue.
Hi Folks, I just bought a prolongation for Webroot Secure Anywhere. After installing I was asked to enter the issued key code, so I did. BUT after hitting the activate button I got the following Error: ERROR FZLC1111: A replacement key code has been issued and must be used with this product line. Even after checking and re-checking the issued key code I got teh same error message over and over again. My old version expires within 5 days, so a solution is quite urgent. BTW, I did remove (un-install) the previous version and re-installed the new one with the same result. Any help in this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Aad Follow Up: I did request my keycode as suggested and recieved the following email: Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for choosing Webroot! Below are your download and installation instructions for Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus. You must use this keycode during installation and all future installations:
