Can a wr scanning schedule... work or not while the computer is in the "Sleep" mode?
Original Problem: -Noticed freezing problems with my computer. -Noticed that Windows Defender stopped working, after been working for couple of years. -Then every morning the computer froze..then .I called WR. -We uninstalled and Reinstalled WR with new key -Then a new problem began: WR ran until 66% and the computer froze. -Then, as precaution, I decided to transfer all my documents and pictures and e-mails to E Drive this weekend. -Then an e-mail problem began:...a pop indicating to fix the corrupted "Chkdsk..." This is the update: I called WR and the representative explained to me that fixing the CHKDSK was easy... He was right...I followed the following process and now my e-mail is working fine.:D Process to fix the CHKDSK: _First I went to START; then clicked in RUN; then typed cmd in the open box. Then followed this special instruction for Window Vista: "-If you want CHKDSK to run thoroughly; that is, fix errors, find bad sectors in your har
Outlook Express Folder Sync Window: winmail. exe-Corrupt
Okay my computer WR scan have been stopping at 66% of the scanning and freeze my computer. I panicked and transferred my files to an E device even my e-mail file. Now this morning I received the first e-mail of the morning but also a pop at the lower toolbar reading: "Outlook Express Folder Sync Window: winmail. exe-Corrupt" The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume c:" What can I do about that message? Thanks... please advise me>:( Now I'm not receiving the e-mails but that message appears when I click the receive mail. I rescheduled the WR scanning for late tonight so I can use my computer today. The system said it performed a scan 23 hours ago.
Idenity shield forces Num Lock on when browsing web
I read that this issue has been fixed, but in the latest version I still see the issue. Any way I can use Identity Shield and not have my num locks forced on? I happen to be on who prefers it off, and I believe I should be able to control my keyboard without having software silently change how my keyboard works without asking.

(Please Help) Concerned About FBI-MoneyPak Virus
Hey, so today I logged on to our home computer and a message popped up. It had the FBI, CIA, etc and said that our computer was locked. It was apparently locked due to suspicion of illegal activity. I used my iPod to see if this was indeed a virus and it turns out it was a trojan, I think. That's pretty scary for me because I know trojans are for accessing someone's system and for our computer to have it definitely terrified me. Windows Task Manager was disabled, because of the virus, too. I did a scan with your program and it removed the trojan. Windows Task Manager worked again as well. I would like more information about this certain virus, if you guys have ever heard of it. Also, how exactly could it have been sent to our computer? I would really like to know that. I want to make sure we weren't already hacked. And are we safe from any attackers? The virus is removed, but I'm worried if damage was already done or can still be done with the virus having been there previously. Any ad
Full scan not needed?
In my daily deep scan, Webroot picked up something, which is pretty rare for me. I decided to do a full scan on both my hard drives, and Webroot told me I didn't need to do that. I decided to do it anyway, and Webroot picked up 2 more threats? My confidence in the deep scans is a bit shaken. I wonder if I should be doing a full scan regularly? Stuart
Getting a warning box upper LH side of screen.
But it closes so fast I can't read it..... but it is square, grey, and has some red writing in the box. I can read the word "close", and not much else. It comes up for less than a second, I bet, and then my webpage that I want opens up. Pops up an awful lot, but not for every web page. I know it does it when I go to Yahoo's main page - most of the time. I "think" I see the word "malware", but it goes so fast I can't be sure. Any thoughts? Edit.... I just stared at the box when it opened again.... it says "This Site Contains a Known Virus". OK, so I do not visit porn sites, and generally only well known sites that I have used for years.... "Occasionally" I may clock a link from Google news that I am unfamiliar with, but that is about it.
Website is being blocked, why?
I received the next message: I'm sending you this message from work. I love your website but I can no longer access It at home. I use Webroot anti-virus and they have you listed as a threat. Can you contact them and find out why? Link removed for administrative review for possible Spam! Also please note that this site is not being Blocked Triple Helix This is a rather huge site with over 13 million pages indexed by google, and google has not reported any malware on any one of those 13 M pages. But there are at least 100 M pages inaccessable by search engines, and some of them may be affected. Thanks in advance for any help.
Erasing Files using WSA. Is it secure?
I notice that you can permanently erase files with Webroot (or so it says!). How secure is it? Can they be recovered or traced? What does it do when it wipes a file? I have some personal documents that I need to put on my PC to edit. I want them permanently deleted afterwards so they cant be accessed after I`ve finished editing/copying them to my flashdrive. If I use webroot to do it, will that be ok? Any advice greatly appreciated.. George

How exactly does Webroot allow you to restore files encrypted by cryptolocker?
Saw you guys post on Spiceworks that if cryptolocker manages to get on to a computer with Webroot installed and it encrypts your files webroot will be able undo it. As my boss eloquently put it, it "sounds like magic" how exactly do you guys do this, setting restore points or some other mechanism?
Free trial and Updates
Hi, I've been using WR AV for about a month now and have 5 months to go of a 6 month trial. So far so good, but seems like forever for the the Web Threat Extension to show up. I was wondering, will the free trial product update to the new version out today and will the web threat extension be a part of that or separate? Thanks and glad to join what seems like a great community!
Evaluating SecureAnywhere Antivirus: feedback and some questions
Hi everybody. I am (was?) a long time Kaspersky user and I've always been happy with KAV. Up until recently, when BSODs with stop code 9F started randomly appearing on two different machines, my production PC and my HTPC, just before entering suspension. The minidumps pointed to the LAN card drivers, but the two PCs have completely different ethernet adapters and thus completely different drivers, so it seemed a bit strange. Also, those drivers had been in place for months without a hiccup so again it appeared weird they would cause problems simultanously all of a sudden. The only thing they had in common was Kaspersky, so I thought an update from them introduced the BSOD. To test my diagnosis, I replaced Kaspersky with MS Security Essentials on my HTPC (which has very limited internet access anyway) and activated a SecureAnywhere Antivirus trial on my production machine. The BSODs are so far gone, so I was probably right in my assumption. Weberoot's software felt immediately v
Webroot is slow and fussy
Since a while ago Webroot has been acting a little weird. Installers sometimes take forever to load and my Autohotkey scripts are occasionally blocked. I've allowed the exes in detection configuration but it doesn't seem to help. I know Webroot is at fault somehow because when I disable Webroot there's no slowdowns or blocked executions. Does anyone know what's causing this?`:@
Webroot Secure Anywhere Browser Web Security Extension troubles.
I activate my Mac and I have it where Webroot instantly comes up, but I get the "Web-Threat Protection Off" icon and message. I go ahead and turn it on, and get this message. So I press "OK". Then this comes up. So I press "Install", and wait for it to complete. Nothing actually completes though, so I go ahead and try it again. Then I get this. So what's this about? And on the other hand, before I had another problem. It would
Identity Protection > Application Protection > wrong folder referenced
webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus 126.96.36.199 This is a really strange issue that is seen in Webroot only but I don't think it is a Webroot issue. I'm Trying to re-add c:KeePasskeePass.exe as a protected application. Attempts 1-???? Webroot adds w:dc 2013-08-12 03;00;05 (full)keepasskeepass.exe. Why? How? So, I made a copy of the folder which became c:KeePass - Copy added c:KeePass - Copykeepass.exe worked as expected. renamed c:keepass to c:keepass (old) added c:KeePass (old)keepass.exe worked as expected. Tried to rename c:keepass (old) to c:keepass couldn't as the folder was in use. Closing all but IE10 and reopening explorer didn't help. Process Explorer didn't find what was locking it using "Find Handle or DLL" renamed c:keepass - Copy to c:keepass added c:KeePasskeePass.exe Webroot added c:keepass (old)keepass.exe Why? How? Any suggestions?
