Since a while ago Webroot has been acting a little weird. Installers sometimes take forever to load and my Autohotkey scripts are occasionally blocked. I've allowed the exes in detection configuration but it doesn't seem to help. I know Webroot is at fault somehow because when I disable Webroot there's no slowdowns or blocked executions. Does anyone know what's causing this?`:@
I activate my Mac and I have it where Webroot instantly comes up, but I get the "Web-Threat Protection Off" icon and message. I go ahead and turn it on, and get this message. So I press "OK". Then this comes up. So I press "Install", and wait for it to complete. Nothing actually completes though, so I go ahead and try it again. Then I get this. So what's this about? And on the other hand, before I had another problem. It would
webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus 188.8.131.52 This is a really strange issue that is seen in Webroot only but I don't think it is a Webroot issue. I'm Trying to re-add c:KeePasskeePass.exe as a protected application. Attempts 1-???? Webroot adds w:dc 2013-08-12 03;00;05 (full)keepasskeepass.exe. Why? How? So, I made a copy of the folder which became c:KeePass - Copy added c:KeePass - Copykeepass.exe worked as expected. renamed c:keepass to c:keepass (old) added c:KeePass (old)keepass.exe worked as expected. Tried to rename c:keepass (old) to c:keepass couldn't as the folder was in use. Closing all but IE10 and reopening explorer didn't help. Process Explorer didn't find what was locking it using "Find Handle or DLL" renamed c:keepass - Copy to c:keepass added c:KeePasskeePass.exe Webroot added c:keepass (old)keepass.exe Why? How? Any suggestions?

I recently have encountered significant delays accessing my Yahoo mail files and folders. This all started about the time the new version of Webroot SecureAnywhere was released (Oct 2013?). I tried disabling both the Firewall and Web Shield options on the main page but not much changed in accessing my e-mail. Any thoughts? Bob
Hi! I´ve installed WSA Antivirus on my PC and on my laptop (both with Windows 8). On my PC I´ve now the new version/interface and on my laptop the old version/interface without having changed any settings on any of my computers. I don´t know why the new version is missed on my laptop. How do I get the new version on my laptop? Checking for software updates doesn´t help, because I get the message, that I´ve already installed the newest version. Can anybody help me please? Thx, Robert
Got part way through setting up an account - but when verifying the email address etc - then got a window asking me for numbered charactors from my securitycode to finally activate my account. I just cannot remember this. How / where can I get this information? Help!!!! Many thanks
Has anyone recently experienced an issue with SD indicating that it is not in Shadow Mode when it actually is? I'm currently in Shadow Mode, and the desktop tip is not showing on the desktop even though I have the option checked for it to show when operating in Shadow Mode. The tray icon is also orange instead of blue like it should be when operating in Shadow Mode. The only way I know i'm operating in Shadow Mode is by going to Mode Setting, and looking at the status. I think WSA is the culprit because WSA has blocked the functionality of SD several times in the past. WSA would not allow SD's GUI to launch about 3 months ago, and I opened a support ticket on it. I currently have a support ticket for this with Webroot right now. I'm just wondering if anyone else is running them together, and if they are experiencing any conflicts as well.[img]https://d1qy7qyune0vt1.cloudfront.net/webroot-en
Have just done a fresh Windows 7 OS install, put WSA back on etc. Just happened to open up the GUI and noticed that it said 1 threat had been removed. Thought that was unusual, so checked it. It has blocked the file appdata oamingpnputil.exe. Checking on the internet, this file appears to be part of Microsofts OS and is safe and rather important. I have submitted a report, but should I unblock this to prevent any system problems that may occur (processes/drivers not running properly etc)? Any advice greatly appreciated.. George
I was wondering if anyone else was using WSA with another AV. I know WSA has become much more robust than the Prevx days when it was marketed as an additional security layer to detect the threats that other AV's commonly missed. If you are using WSA with another AV then are you having any conflicts? I just installed WSA 184.108.40.206 with the final release of NOD 32 V7.0.302.0. I have not rebooted yet, but immediately I just had an issue with Firefox right after installing WSA. I clicked Firefox, and it never did run. I waited for about 30 seconds, and it never ran. I clicked it again, and it ran about 3 seconds after I clicked it a second time. I checked the task manager, and there was 2 instances of Firefox running.
I recently stopped using Norton because it forcefully removed Malwarebytes pro while installing then let a load of PUP malware on one my my computers. I installed webroot secure anywhere antivirus and thankfully it didn't uninstall malwarebytes. I really want both malwarebytes pro realtime protection as well as webroot running together so I don't get another computer infested with potentially unwanted programs. Is it safe to have both webroot and malwarebytes pro running side by side? If not is there anyway to configure webroot to allow this?
I've been using SecureAnywhere Antivirus for the past few months as part of the Facebook free trial and I've been very impressed. The software is very fast and has never caused any slowdowns unlike other antivirus programs I have used. Also I've received prompt and helpful advice from customer support whenever I've had a problem. Today my question about a detected threat whilst updating to Windows 8.1 was answered in less than five minutes! I'll definitely be buying a new subscription soon before the trial expires and would recommend Webroot to my friends and family.
What specific technical guidance does Webroot provide for use of Sandboxie 4 and WSA together? A previous thread mentioned Webroot would need to investigate the structural differences in the new version of Sandboxie and see how that interacted with WSA. The first version of Sandboxie 4 stable was released on June 17th.
After running the system analyzer in webroot anywhere the following results were reflected in the detailed report . I have spent two months with Microsoft trying to figure out why my automatic updates are not working properly. The latest recommendation is that I do a factory reset. Really, really don't want to have to do that AGAIN! Can you tell me where Webroot gets each date listed below? Windows Updates ---------------------------------------------------------------- Auto Update State Enabled Update Type Automatica
I have installed a trial of webroot secureanywhere on 3 machines. 2 of the machines are windows 8 Problem is that search engine protection is only working on one of them and I can't understand why. On one machine I have green ticks in bing searches. On the other machine which is the machine i'm using now it's not working. I have tried uninstalling, restarting computer then reinstalling but the search engine protection still isn't working. I have checked the settings in webroot and both machines are set exactly the same. So this problem is baffling me. What do I have to do to get the search engine protection working?
Ive tired to install the above (I have an older version of NullDC 1.04 on my PC which runs without any problems). I downloaded the latest version 220.127.116.11 which I then extracted with 7Zip. When I tried to run it, WSA blocked two files as bad and removed them. NullDC refuses to launch without them. The files are: nulldc_gui_win32.dll nulldc_104_r136emitter_win32.dll Why has it done this? Are these files malicious, or are they false positives? After getting my laptop back from being cleaned, (a full valet) the 'KNOWHOW Computer Checkup report' states that no Antivirus has been detected although I have Secure Anywhere Antivirus installed and is displaying the 'green tick' and that I have 231 days subscription left. Can anyone tell me why it should say this?
