Hello everyone,, I have several sites that I must visit regularly for my work. I have added them to the "exclusion," list, yet alerts are still being generated. Am I missing a step? Do you have a tutorial or article that can help me resolve this frequent and annoying problem. Other than this issue I am very satisfied with WebRoot and will definately continue to use it. A hui hou and thanks for your help, Tyler J. Barnes Boyce Multimedia Wailua and Koloa,.
I clicked on a link in the Ookla Speedtest webpage, using Chrome, taking me to the incluster.com website. The product they were trying to promote, Outbyte, looked dubious, so I closed the browser. A little while later, I did the same thing using Firefox, and Webroot blocked my access to the page. Why Webroot not block my access from the same website when using Chrome? My Chrome extension is the current version in Chrome’s Web Store. Shouldn’t it work the same in both browsers?

I might have just been fumble fingered when checking Webroot support options. But I noticed this draft email while "culling the herd" today. I scrolled through the data and the only discernible app reference was Webroot. Knowing hackers use the logcat tool, I thought I had better submit the inquiry.
I was scrolling through my usual mod site and came across this mod I thought looked interesting. It had some manually verified files but I didn't think much of it since I download mods like that all the time. I hit download and extracted the folder but before placing into the mod folder I got a warning message saying a threat has been identified. It came up as "Win32.LocalInfect.2". I've gotten warning messages like this before but my computer deleted them before they could finish downloading, however this time it downloaded onto my computer. I immediately deleted the file and it's extracted contents before running a virus scan and a full windows defender scan. Both came out clean and upon further inspection I noticed the mod was an exe file and the only one posted by the author so it was more like a failure in observation on my part. I'm a safe for now or is there still more I can do?
The Brother Status Monitor can display ink levels on a network connected Brother printer. However, when Webroot is running under Windows 10, it prevents the printer from communicating with the status monitor so that an ‘offline’ message is displayed. Webroot also does not provide any indication of this blockage anywhere including in the list of monitored programs. The fix is to use the ‘shut down protection’ option. Or you can simply remove Webroot and use Windows Defender as a solution. I am wondering why Webroot does not have the ability to show the user what it is blocking.
Hi, So I got a BSOD with this error. I assume this is a driver issue with webroot. Any ideas? Hello! I’ve been using Webroot for quite some time now. (It came installed when i bought the computer.) I’ve been trying to install a program and I require Webroot to be shutdown/paused but there is no way for me to complete this seeing as I’m not the “network administrator”. I’ve tried going to windows processes and Webroot outright denied me from shutting it down. Whatever I seem to do it all goes around in a circle with me needing to do one thing to fix the next but ultimately failing because of the restrictions. I hope this issue can be resolved! Kind regards, whitecowboyhat.
Hello, I just installed Webroot on a server for a client. When I try to scan the server for the first time. It sits on 2% then shoots up to 100% in seconds. Windows firewall is disabled. The internet is working as I was able to download the installer from the MSP site. Is there anything I can check with the agent?
After running System Analyzer, I received an orange screen with the message "updates are available for your system & have not been installed". I attempted to install updates but was informed that they were done automatically & I couldn’t manually update. After checking the community web, I was unable to find any reference to this plus any info on manual updates. No other recourse was found so I uninstalled Webroot & reinstalled it. I again ran System Analyzer & received the same message. I’ve had Webroot for years & never had this happen. I just did a Windows update. Could this be the trouble? How do I rectify this issue? The orange-red screen with the oversized explanation point looks ominous. Hopefully, the aforementioned screen will be pasted below. HELP!!!!….Bonnie
I was trying to uninstall webroot. I am using the paid subscription but webroot are refusing to assist because I am not a reseller. I purchased the programme online. I cannot uninstall the software. When I try I get an error message saying that the software is managed by the web console. so I logged into the web console and went into PC security tab and clicked on add pc. but it wants m me to install the software and provide the keycode but I have already done that. But the PC has never appeared. Can anyone advise. I want to get the thing working but want to try and uninstall it and and reinstall it but how do I do that when its not in the console. I did try and download and reinstall it but the programme just opens up normally. I have another keycode but I cannot even enter that because I keep getting the same error saying it managed by a web console
Win 10 Home 64 bit, MBAM Premium (WSA on trust list, and Ransomware real-time disabled). Shutdown every evening, and normally restart 4-times before browsing… I installed WSA late in the day, and somehow Auto Scan is scheduled for 7pm?I start browsing... much earlier, and would like to know my system is clean (without having to do a manual scan)! What time should I re-schedule my scan for?BTW- MBAM auto-scheduled their scan for 2am, so it scans 5min after cold startup.
Starting a day or two ago, every time I start my laptop some spam/adware ad opens up in chrome before almost immediately being blocked by webroot. I’ve tried running adware remover, checking in the startup tab in task manager, and uninstalling and reinstalling chrome. Nothing has worked so far. The problem isn't crippling or anything but its extremely annoying. Any help would be appreciated.
I made a Webroot account and put in my activation code. Now I am trying to log into my account but I can’t seem to. At the log in page, I put my email and password. Next I put in the F2A code ( i get a new code every time because I downloaded a 2 Factor Authenticator app because it was recommended) and it starts to log in them immediately logs me out. I have tried to put in lost/ stolen code, then put in my security answers but they say I am wrong. It tells me that my account is not verified and I do not get any email to further my progress.
My webroot was expired a few weeks ago and I decided to renew it. I activated my keycode like a week ago but I still go messages like "New threats everyday”or whatever. I thought maybe my laptop was going crazy or something and didnt pay much attention. Today I opened the app but now it's all red and it says that it's expired? I put my keycode again and everything turned green again and it was said that the keycode is activated but when I restarted and it showed that it's still expired. I renewed on the official website
I used webroot on both my wifes and my systems. When I run it, it only scans 8 to 9 thousand files and takes about 90 seconds. When I run it on my wife’s system, it scans close to 100 thousand files and take 8 minutes. Her system is a fresh load of windows 10, not an upgrade but a completely new load. Why does she have so many more files to scan than I do? We both only have World of Warcraft on our systems. All music and personal files are kept on removable media. Your help is appreciated.
I know im a little bit late since there is a new version on the way but i’m gonna say it anyways.90.28.48 was a pain…..Very slow performance compared to previous versions, especially the user login screen.I tried uninstall clear all files and registry and reinstall but still nothing. The only solution was to go back to 22.214.171.124 and problem got solved. Also the context menu disappearing seriously pissed me off.I hope those issues will get fixed soon cause i love this AV.
My hp desktop is a few years old and came with Windows 10, so it has Windows security software. I also have Webroot software from the store. In addition, my brother suggested VPN software, so I ended up with Avast software. Should I be worried about conflicts? Don’t see any, but I’m not a wizard on the PC, either? Should I get rid of any of this?
