I did a manual scan and ended up with the following message "scanning with webroot secureanywhere database" for several minutes and could not cancel out of the scan. I ended up ending the WRSA.exe process and it started up by itself again and upon another manual scan completed withut a problem. Is this something I have to look forward to on occasion? I left Kaspersky because their AV got severly bloated and Webroot got high marks on several sites so I'd thought I'd give them a shot but this occurence has made me a bit nervous about it.
On the bottom right toolbar of my computer Webroot notified me that I have 2 notifications. I click on it to view the notifications and Webroot begins collecting system status. It has been looking for system stauts for 2 days, and I am sure that it is not working ocrrectly to protect my PC. Does anyone have a suggestion for me?

I have sent a message to the Webroot support last year, complaining why Webroot is always stealing keyboard shortcuts like ALT+D in Chrome and other Chromium forks. Webroot support told me it's because of the Identity shield. Does not make any sense to me because what is so special with the standard keyboard shortcut ALT+D... but OK. Support told me to move chrome.exe from 'protect' to the 'allow' in the Protected Applications menu. Worked well until the next update of Chrome. Then the Webroot software did reset the setting again. Because I do have Chrome Canary build as well as Chromium installed (several updates a day) it just freaked me out to change the setting from protected to allow over and over again. Currently I have completely deactivated the Identity shield but ... to be honest that is not a solution. It's like someone would recommend me to uninstall Webroot. So when can I expect an update? So difficult to create a role and update the cloud database?
I bought the Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus awhile ago when I got my laptop, now I am trying to install it, but I keep getting the message "Enter a valid keycode. If you continue to recieve this message, contact webroot support." I'm not sure if I am putting it in correctly or what, but I definitely need assistance.
Anyone heard of InfoAtom.com? it seems to be a malware, as I surf I randomly get a pop-up from them accompnied by a "special offer" if I take a survey. needless to say i refuse to do it yet it keeps happening. plenty of advise to remove it when I google it but no real solutions. please help. I have SecureAnywhere installed but it doesn't find InfoAtoms.
I have use Spy Sweeper for a long time and when the auto renewal happened in Feb, 2013, I was told that Spy Sweeper was discountinued and replaced by SecureAnywhere. I uninstalled Spy Sweeper and intalled SecureAnywhere. With Spy Sweeper, I did not have it run in live mode, but would manually start it when I wanted to do scans. I do not want SecureAnywhere to run in "Live" mode - I have other software for that. I want to just run it to scan when I want to. How do I shut it down and keep it down until I manually start it. Everytime I shut it down, it automatically restart itself. With Spy Sweeper, I could shut it down from live mode and just start it when I wanted to do manual scans, and then shut it back down - it did not restart itself automatically. Can this be done with this software? Thanks for any insights. gumboman
Many times I am downloading some files in firefox and then ill click on a random site while browsing and then a pop up will come up from webroot (sometimes it pops up and goes away real fast) and other times it allows me to chose close or allow for the website... I guess it thinks the site is a risky site or something... but all my downloads stop.. this is really annoying and if I cannot protect my browsing somewhat and it not interrupt my downloads in firefox when it "sees" a potential risky site or something then I am going to have to go to another AV... in other suites Ive used before I did not have the same problem (norton, kaspersky, avira, avast) this has happened multiple times and has cost me lots of time having to redownload stuff that was not complete... thanks for the help if anyone can tell me what settings I may need to adjust and or stay secure but not screw up my current downloads...
I had a virus it was/is a win32 smee variant. I ran webroot and it would ot go past 20%. So I stopped webroot running abd downloaded and ran Combofix and after it finished I rebooted, but now webroot wont reinstall, everytime I click on the install icon it tries to run but then quits. I tried creating a new administrator account under the name "Webroot Test" but it did not work. Anyone any idea on how to reinstall Webroot
I recently posted a conflict between Webroot Internet Security and Absolute LoJack. I've noticed a new conflict. Webroot Internet Security causes Mozy Stash to crash as well. Both LoJack and Mozy Stash involve behind the scenes communication with remote servers. Has anyone else experienced this?
How do I report a malicious URL without having WSA installed? I had to uninstall WSA due to incompatibility. I have a phishing URL using Social Engineering. It's a fake FB login Screen that was sent to me. Someone on my friend list sent me an email saying I wouldn't believe who got video taped going to the bathroom lol Once you click on this link it takes you to the fake FB login page. Some of my friends have already fallen victim to this. It looks really convincing to the untrained user. It looks just like the real FB login screen.

Is Webroot AV compatible with Outpost Pro personal firewall? I have recently extended my subscription from one seat to three seats, but I am not yet using the third seat because that computer utilizes the Outpost Pro firewall. If it is okay to use, I will load Webroot on that computer as well.
ok so i got the wrong version of webroot antivirus so i requested a refund and i got it but the antivrus is still active and working. Do i leave it like that, do i have to uninstall it or what do i have to do because im about to buy the version that i really want. Also can i register the new webroot antivirus that im about to buy with the same account?
since this new release installed itself, when Webroot scans, it stalls at 81% and hangs there for several minutes. this is in the process of accessing the webroot cloud for doing a scan. it just sits there, and finally after seven minutes or so, it finishes. this scan usually takes less than three minutes, but now it takes over ten minutes. nothing has changed on my end, except the new webroot version. thanks. note: if I run a second scan, it runs with no problem, I have a scan log, but don't see anyway to attache it.
I recently purchased a laptop and installed Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus 2013 (along with installing all my other software). It seems to interfere with my external keyboard (but doesn't interefere with the wireless mouse). I can type in my password for the computer at start-up and once the computer starts the Webroot blocks the signal. Before installing the Webroot software the laptop came with a Mcafee antivirus and I did not have any issues. I am frustrated with Webroot and if someone can help resolve the issue, I appreciate their help. Otherwise I will uninstall the software and get a new anti virus software. Webroot blocks the keyboard. Is there a setting or something I can do on Webroot to allow an external keyboard (running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on Dell Inspiron i15R-1632sLV 15.6-Inch Laptop).
