Windows 7 Pro on a 64-bit Lenovo T450. I have an app, "Hightail Express," that may not be connecting with my account with Hightail on the web, so I thought I would add it to the allow files list in Webroot. I click on Add File, and navigate to "hightail.exe "in the C:Program Files (x86)HightailExpress" directory, double click on the file, but it is not added to the list. What am I missing here? -- Arthur
I'm getting frequent error messages: This site can't be reached. Server DNS address cant' be found. (Very common sites likewww.eventbrite.com or www.att.net It says "try checking the proxy, firewall and dns configuration" Running windows network diagnostic Retry Sometimes the second try works, sometimes not.. I tried calling my DSL isp provider. They checked it out. The speed is fine 6.0 but did not have any solution. I tried powering down the modem and computer and unplugging. but the problem persists. Any thoughts for non techie? No hardware was added or removed in t he home.

Payment with Local Currency: When I clicked the “Renew now” button within Webroot SecureAnywhere, it took me to the page called “Easy One-Page Checkout.” Given that there was nothing on the page to identify the currency of the renewal price shown, I assumed that it was my local Australian dollar currency (AUD). However, if this page is showing US dollar currency (USD), instead of local AUD it would be misleading because I couldn’t find any link on this page (Webroot’s “Easy One-Page Checkout”) allowing me to quickly access or change it to my local currency. Webroot neglects to explain this via its prompts and links through the renewal steps within the program. My other option to renew my subscription (by bypassing the “Renew now” button) is to go to “www.Webroot.com” which automatically takes me to https://www.webroot.com/gb/en (not the AU site), and subsequently to [url=https://www.webroot.com/gb/en/cart?
I don't know what my wife may have done. She had told me she was placing her Avon orders as usual, and a display came up and said that the computer had a virus and if she would let them enter and clear it up, they apparently got in and then brought up a financial charge for the service, so she said no. They left, and I think they placed the virus there and cause it to go into safe mode. I did regain control by doing a restore, and it was working. The next morning it was in safe mode. Please help.
To fix the Firefox Webroot Filtering Extension Issue, the temporaray fix on the Webroot site states for me to "Remove existing instances of the extension" how do I do this? Update: the actual comment on the Webroot site is "Remove any existing versions of the Password Manager extension"
My screensave quit working when I uninstalled McAfee and went only with Webroot. Can the firewall be causing this. It won't go to sleep or activate firewall. I have tried changing it and turning it off and on. I can do a preview but when I leave it, it will not come on.
This evening, when attempting to view legitimate websites, I've been redirected randomly to other websites. I've noticed that I'm sent to an interstitial website, bcd.capablyoverfull.com, before it sends me to another website, including one for "viracure.com" that asks me to "Accept and Install" their anti-virus (yeah, right) software. I've also noticed pop-ups being blocked in Google Chrome for terxer.com. Has anyone seen this, and if so, how do I get rid of it? Secure Anywhere hasn't found anything on my computer. Strangely, this didn't post when I originally submitted it on the Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete forum, but just before reporting this time, I found this on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/osx/comments/4pq6pq/terxer_malware_on_mac/ Seems to be something new. I am looking for an explanation for, and means to prevent, the following computer behavior: I shut down my Lenovo and after about 5 minutes it restarts without any input from me. Yes, I am sure I selected "shut down" and not "restart" from the menu. Thanks!
Hi klpdke Welcome to the Community Forums. That depends on whether you opted for automrenewal with Webroot or Best Buy or not. To find out you had best call the sales team (US: 1-866-612-4268 or UK: +44 (0) 870 141 7070) at the start of the next business week as the office will now be closed until then. Regards, Baldrick
I see posts indicating this problem has been solved. However, I have been a Webroot customer for many years, and I keep running into this problem of a Webroot application being unable to launch because this .dll file is supposedly "missing." Each time this happens I have used the suggested fix from Webroot. The problem with the fixes offered by Webroot is they haven't figured out a better way in all these years than uninstalling Webroot while my computer remains online during the entire process, thus leaving my computer vulnerable during the entire process. On a sidenote, when I try to get Webroot to see a problem I am having with their software, they usually try to trash-talk me on the phone, instead of just admitting there is a problem and moving to a higher level of resolution and customer satisfaction. To recap: this PhreshPhish problem has been going on for years, and it is NOT solved.
Webroot antivirus does not understand catalog-signed files in Windows. For this reason it is detecting and monitoring multiple legitimate files in the latest Windows Insider build 14376. This caused multiple problems for me until I manually overrode the detection and monitoring. I will be opening a business change-request for this, but I wanted to raise the issue here as well. Hi, I'm a new Webroot user, community member and Windows 10 user. I would just like to ask the following questions: 1. Could I add the Mail, Calendar and People applications in the Webroot Application protection? Are there any compatibility issues in doing so? 2. If I could add the said applications without issues, how do I actually to do that? Where are the said applications located anyway? I am using Windows 10 64bit. Thank you.
