Hi all, Please be aware of a website called '_ww.e-luk.net' <URL edited to remove as contrary to Community Guidelines> they are trying to scam people saying you entered a competition which you have not entered also they tell you your full address and details. I think this is only happening in the UK but wanted to warn my good friends on webroot. Thanks Adam
I purchased a new webroot disc recently. Loaded successfully on the 1st pc but it is not accepted here on the 2nd pc. I believe you alerted me of a subscription for the prior coming to the end of its term, and I believe we paid for it, but Webroot is still saying payment due. Regardless of this (if I see the charge I will address that then), I have a NEW key code and it is not accepted on the 2nd pc. when I try to submit this... you are asking for my register log in, which i JUST created but is not recognized!
I use a product called Networx to monitor data usage on my data limited satellite system. I installed Webroot about 2 months ago and they have coexisted well. Now Webroot doesn't like Networx and has deleted some of its files, and most recently wouldn't let it start from the autostart area after a reboot. Networx has not updated itself (it always asks me) and there is no difference there, clearly Webroot is looking for something different now than it was before. When this sort of thing occurs, why do I not have an option to tell Webroot to watch this product but not start deleting stuff unless we talk about it first? I really dislike that behavior, since after 25 years of computing I do have some occasionally intelligent input to offer! Thanks, Gurn
I checked on this with one of support folks and it looks like they are actively investigating what is causing this. If you are still getting the message, please contact support so that we can get a copy of your logs.
When IE11 is opened on a Win 10, and possibly earlier OS versions) without Webroot started a gray icon appears to browser searches in both Google and Yahoo. Does anyone know causes those or even what they are called? The same icons appear when IE11 is opened with Sandboxie and may be causing many of my native IE11 web pages. Frequently, no webshield icons appear for non-add webpages. Especially on page 1 of the search results. I am often able to restore the icons by changing pages back and forth and using the Search icon. Often, when another page is selected, the icons show up on the page I'm exiting JUST before the switch to the next page. I'm guessing the settings causeing the "grey" icons may be interfering with the Webshield icons. Or, am I the only one in the world with this issue? Again.... :D
About 2 weeks ago I think, my Webroot SecureAnywhere Complete software updated itself. Before that, in IE, when I would log into a secure site, like a bank account, an 'X&quot; would appear on the right side of the username box and a arc with a dot under it would appear in the password box when I started typing. Now, I see nothing.<br><br>I thought I read something about these being replaced by a W with a lock on it, but I have never seen this icon.<br><br>BTW, don't know about the rest of you, but I have had many problems with WSAC since the update. I think most of them have finally been resolved, but I can't seem to get an answer from Support about the missing icons.<br><br>Am I crazy? Did these not exist in the old version?<br><br>Thanks<br><br>Pam<br><br>P.S. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. I could not find anyway to create a new discussion.<br>

running webroot secure anywhere on mac with the new downlaod Yosmite. Each time I scan get a message Web Threat Shield not installed.. And each time I go to install it the message pops up that it might effect the look of Safari. I hate to screw with safari as it looks good now. any help on this
Hi Beaches Welcome to the Community Forums. Well, you can download a trial version of WSA which is good for 30 days and use that to do the scan or if you already have a license for WSA which coveres more than one device you could install WSA using the same keycode as your current installation. Regards, Baldrick
I don't know what my wife may have done. She had told me she was placing her Avon orders as usual, and a display came up and said that the computer had a virus and if she would let them enter and clear it up, they apparently got in and then brought up a financial charge for the service, so she said no. They left, and I think they placed the virus there and cause it to go into safe mode. I did regain control by doing a restore, and it was working. The next morning it was in safe mode. Please help.
When I checked yesterday (by clicking the Webroot "W" in the taskbar and opened the gui i note that it says that protection has been disabled due to subscription expired. The web realtime shields are both off as is the firewall. However there is no other indication that there is a problem - the "W" icon in the taskbar remains green, the gui itself is green and Windows security centre has not thrown up a message. I did receive two emails about renewing the last of which was on Oct6 - the subscription expired Nov5. Whilst I accept of course that the renewal date had been reached I find it odd/disconcerting that protection would be switched off so quickly (i.e.one day later) and without any warning . Could this be correct ?
If I wanted to target .zip Outlook attachments, which zone are they in under heuristics? In my opinion, they should really have their own zone... I've raised a feature request in the business community, but I've posted this question in home since it applies to everyone. Hello, My question: SOUGO.COM (PRC-China) is an input program that, with user-input "pin-yin" (roman alphabet) words, prints Chinese characters. Google has a similar program. Have you heard of any hacking of machines with Sougo.com loaded? Jim
