I have a Windows 8 Laptop and I cannot remove Webroot permanently
I have a Windows 8 laptop and I cannot PERMANENTLY remove Webroot from my computer. It no longer shows up in my applications list, but it still runs in the background. And when I go to uninstall it, it says it no longer exists and it has been uninstalled. BUT IT IS STILL RUNNING. And the one folder with the program in it will not allow me to delete it because "it is running somewhere else". How do i completely get rid of this antivirus?! It's interferring with my antivirus i have now, and I am not happy about it. Help as soon as possible would be much appreciated.
Webroot Installation Screen "Please Enter Your Keycode" pops up every 30 seconds
Just as the title describes, the installation screen for Webroot pops up every 30 seconds onto my desktop. It used to reopen everytime I closed it. The amount of times this screens opens is making my computer unusable. This feels like it is worse than having an actual virus. *I am running windows 8, not windows 8.1 *Webroot has been uninstalled from the computer and is no longer found on the programs list. *I have used their "upgrade" utility in trying to fix, no luck. Ran it in safemode as well. No luck. *No folders for webroot can be found on the computer *all startup entries and processes related to webroot have been disabled or deleted. *The goal is to REMOVE this program. *I do not know my keycode. Can anyone help?? Their support team sent me installation instructions for a MAC after I clearly pointed out I am using windows 8. Someone, anyone, please help!!

(Please Help) Concerned About FBI-MoneyPak Virus
Hey, so today I logged on to our home computer and a message popped up. It had the FBI, CIA, etc and said that our computer was locked. It was apparently locked due to suspicion of illegal activity. I used my iPod to see if this was indeed a virus and it turns out it was a trojan, I think. That's pretty scary for me because I know trojans are for accessing someone's system and for our computer to have it definitely terrified me. Windows Task Manager was disabled, because of the virus, too. I did a scan with your program and it removed the trojan. Windows Task Manager worked again as well. I would like more information about this certain virus, if you guys have ever heard of it. Also, how exactly could it have been sent to our computer? I would really like to know that. I want to make sure we weren't already hacked. And are we safe from any attackers? The virus is removed, but I'm worried if damage was already done or can still be done with the virus having been there previously. Any ad
Firefox 58 tries to launch - blank window ?
Hello Webrooters, Firefox 58 (32-bit) + Antivirus 18.104.22.168 I have to set firefox.exe Application Protection to Allow in order to land on my homepage. Edit: Subject and add pic YMMV Thanks
On May 22nd I started receiving messages from Microsoft...not Webroot...about a Trojan Virus on my computer. I called the 800 number on Webroot's page for support. I was directed to a company called TechVantedge. I ended up paying them $646 for assistance and the virus was still on my computer. I took my computer to someone here locally, and paid him almost $300 to clear up the problem. When I sent an inquiry to Webroot Support several weeks after that, I received a reply that Webroot provides free support to clear up viruses. I asked for a supervisor or someone in charge to contact me regarding the $646 I had spent. NO ONE has contacted me to date. I am about to cancel my Webroot and report them to the Attorney General's office.
Has anyone had a problem with web root? My was installed by a tech and was working well. not now
my webroot is now not working. It states "1st scan not complete." Then it says "scan failed". And "secure Anywhere cannot reach the internet to obtain threat information." But my internet is working ok. Has anyone had this problem? Thank you.
go to webroot community won't work in a std account
Just got the new Webroot update today, it seems quite nice. I have one problem though, when I try to access WR with the community button, the read now button, or any button that opens communication with WR I have to be in my administrator's acct. I can't access WR while in my standard account. It's quite rare if I am ever using my admin. acct. I'd like to see the new version of WR able to access 'home' without having to use an administrator account. My computer's os is Windows 7 Pro 64
Every time I log on my computer I have over 200 temp language files from Webroot to remove .
Among other unnecessary temp files that I remove from my computer, I find over 200 temp language files generated by Webroot. Why is this? I only needed one when I installed and registered my Webroot SecureAnywhere software. This issue hasn't caused me any problems that I am aware of, other than being a NUISANCE. These unnecessary files are only found when I boot-up and scan for unnecessary files. They never occur again until I log off and reboot again. My wife also has this problem with her same Webroot software, so I'm not inclined to think that this is an isolated problem. Perhaps this goes unnoticed by some of the less-observant users. Is there anything that we can do to stop all these temp files from recurring? Thank You
Identity Protection Errors
I was running BitDefender at the same time and uninstalling it fixed these issues. I just started using Webroot on two of my PCs and I started to see strange things right away, most of them attributed to the Identity Protection aspect, and I'm afraid this is going to continue further. The sign of a good antivirus program is to not realize it's there, and I understand how difficult this can be, but I also know it's possible by working with popular programs to stabalize features, and I would say Chrome and Firefox fall into those categories. Here are my two issues:

Firefox downloads would instantly stop when loading a new page in private browsing
Chrome would not connect to any pages until ID Protection was set to "allow".
I was able to replicate these issues on two computers running Windows 8.1 x64. Has anyone else experienced weird issues with ID protection? I look forward to seeing this feature improved because I can assume that it is most usefu
Evaluating SecureAnywhere Antivirus: feedback and some questions
Hi everybody. I am (was?) a long time Kaspersky user and I've always been happy with KAV. Up until recently, when BSODs with stop code 9F started randomly appearing on two different machines, my production PC and my HTPC, just before entering suspension. The minidumps pointed to the LAN card drivers, but the two PCs have completely different ethernet adapters and thus completely different drivers, so it seemed a bit strange. Also, those drivers had been in place for months without a hiccup so again it appeared weird they would cause problems simultanously all of a sudden. The only thing they had in common was Kaspersky, so I thought an update from them introduced the BSOD. To test my diagnosis, I replaced Kaspersky with MS Security Essentials on my HTPC (which has very limited internet access anyway) and activated a SecureAnywhere Antivirus trial on my production machine. The BSODs are so far gone, so I was probably right in my assumption. Weberoot's software felt immediately v
version 22.214.171.124 stalling
since this new release installed itself, when Webroot scans, it stalls at 81% and hangs there for several minutes. this is in the process of accessing the webroot cloud for doing a scan. it just sits there, and finally after seven minutes or so, it finishes. this scan usually takes less than three minutes, but now it takes over ten minutes. nothing has changed on my end, except the new webroot version. thanks. note: if I run a second scan, it runs with no problem, I have a scan log, but don't see anyway to attache it.
how do I submit a suspicious file to you?
I have a file C:ProgramDataWRDataPKGSafarNEW_webfilter.safariextz that webroot says is clean, but everytime I move it, I find a new file has been created in the original location (above), which makes me suspicious whether this is a legit file or not. Is there a way I can upload my file to you so you can have a 2nd look and check it out more closely on your end?? If so, how do I do that?
Did anyone notice a huge lag with WSA AV's latest build?
The first time I tried Webroot, it made my system feel as if there was no AV and I loved it! so light. The latest 2 versions released caused my system to feel so sluggish. Especially when installing a program, it would take double the time to initialize the installation. Every install of WSA was on a clean Windows 7 or 8.1 installation. It's the same system that I'm running just been running through a big delimma finding the right drivers so I formatted a lot but now finally ASUS released the official drivers for my G750JX laptop so I know i'm good. But what's up with the lag? I have just formatted, installed Windows 8.1, and I am hesistant to install WSA again

How to disable Personal Security Report??
I saw a few threats back to at least 2015 where a number of users requested disabling Personal Security Report notification. Webroot support seems to be fending off this request despite encouraging users to asking for the change. I'm more concerned about this blatant instrusion of privacy. Basically user scan file details are being reported back to Webroot for each scan. There is no way to disable this back channel. If this doesn't get corrrected, I won't continue to use it. Why does a user HAVE TO report to Webroot what files it scanned??
Outlook 2016 Not Displaying Images After Fall Update Caused By Webroot
As title says, since the fall update if I have webroot active Outlook 2016 will not display external images. I just get the Outlook cannot display the external image placeholder. If I manually terminate webroot and restart outlook it works fine again. It must be protecting the Temporary Internet Files folder in INetCache as this is where the Outlook images are stored. Can someone confirm and if there is any temporary fix that would also be nice. Thanks
So I Really Screwed -Up Today with WSA
Was reconfiguring my PC this AM. To do this I needed to temporarily uninstall a number of programs, includung WSA + File Cleaner aka WSA for Gaming PCs :-) Didn't use the Windows uninstaller. Used some stooopid uninstaller on a utility that does a good job of removiing all traces.. Didn't get the Captcha uninstall screen but WSA disappeared from my Windows uninstall list--but it was still there on my machine and running, I deleted every filel I could find and tried a reinstall. WSA didn't reinstall, the GUI just opened up. Deleted all the files again and every registry entry. WSA successfully fully installed BUT is no where to be found on my Windows uninstall List or on the uninstall list of any utility. Can Webroot either tell me how to fix this or sell me a discounted lifetime license to WSA +Cleaner??? BTW was watching an old review on YouTube Review of an early version of late 2013 or early 2014 WSA Compllete where the "optimizer" was labeled as "The Cle
