LEDsales (my site) tagged as unsafe

As the owner of this site, I know it is clean. This started a week or two ago and site traffic seems to have dropped since then. I have also been getting quite a number of false positives for other sites that I know are safe and virus free.

A large number of false positives means the protection the software should provide becomes useless as it can't be trusted. Interested in how many other people are finding this a problem, and whether it is affecting their site traffic like it seems to be mine.

Hello ledsales and Welcome to the Webroot Community Forums.

As far as I can see this adress is marked good check your link here: http://www.brightcloud.com/support/lookup.php

You could be still on the old 2013 Web Shield in which they are stilling rolling out the new 2014 Web Shield slowly as it's all new tech based on BrightCloud and more and you will get it soon. Also you can contact support to get it whitelisted in the meantime.

HTH,

Hi Daniel,

thanks for that, does indeed seem to be marked good, just chalk it up to a temporary glitch...

Regards, Lance
Hi guys,

am still getting this problem on my site, brightcloud gives it a 96 rating but webroot gives it a rating of 40. Same goes for many other sites I visit, large company sites like Toshiba Components etc.

Are you guys still in the process of rolling out the new version? Seems to be taking a while if this is the problem...

I still see it as safe with the new Web Shield and get no block. Are you using WSA or are others reporting this to you? And maybe someone can give us more info if the new Web Shield is fully rolled out?

Daniel
Hi Daniel

am using WSA, V8.0.4.46.

Are you using any supported Browsers? IE, Firefox & Chrome only if so do you see any Web Filtering Extensions in your support Browsers?

Daniel

This is from my Firefox and the number could be different than yours. http://i58.tinypic.com/25qw2ll.png
Yep, firefox, my primary browser, has webroot filtering extension 1.0.0.26. A screen grab of a recent search is at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/82040815/Untitled-1.jpg

Ok I see what you mean now http://i57.tinypic.com/ajmbz9.png so go here and ask to get it changed. http://www.brightcloud.com/support/generalchangerequest.php

That won't help, brightcloud already lists it as a 96 and trustworthy, but that rating isn't getting used by webroot, which is why I assumed the rollout of the new version hadn't happened.

That's what we are told to tell users and if you would like Submit a Support Ticket and get it corrected once and for all!

Thanks, but I still think there is a bigger issue, many known good sites, such as sparkfun.com, pierlite, even instructables also come up as suspect. See another screen grab, same url, https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/82040815/Untitled-1.jpg
