Greetings,

First off I'm a new user of Webroot, actually last time I used antivirus was maybe 6 years ago. I thought I might share my experience.
My machine was Desktop with Windows XP. Because one of my HDDs was split in two Partitions I had a privilege to quickly reinstall Windows anytime without touching my data on the other partition. However I got a little lazy in this matter and it's been a while since last re-installation. Soon I became aware of malicious activity which I discovered using USB pen drives. Every time I'd plug pen drive it'd be infected with autorun virus. Other than that I felt nothing out of ordinary and machine was running fine. Perhaps disabling Autoplay feature in Windows helped a bit. Anyway I replaced my old desktop with laptop. Took out my HDDs and connected them to laptop using adapter SATA to USB. So basically laptop with Webroot scanned external HDD. Below is a list of what it found on Windows partition, little over 140 threats in total. Scan time 25min.

Here's a short description:
number of viruses, virus ID, directory, file appearance.

98 x W32.Trojan.Gen documents and settingsuser ending with .drv
1 x Pua.Adware.Proinstall was sitting in C:
ecycled
35 x Pua.Conduit I have no idea what it is, but it derived form program "youtube by click" (ytbyclick) that I myself installed some time ago. It presides in documents and settingsuserlocal settingsapplication data also in program files... ending with .dll
2 x W32.Suspicious.Heur.V was in documents and settingsall users...application data files ending with .dat
2 x W32.Autorun.Gen one was sitting straight on C: drive and the other in program filescommon files ending with .exe
1 x W32.Malware.Gen sitting in windows

also other Malware.Gen were hiding in programs that i've downloaded including;
usb shield
keygen generator
autorun virus remover 2.3 patch
screen recorder gold v2

It took about 10 seconds for Webroot to remove them all. It automatically initiated re-scan to ensure that system is clean so I didn't interupt and waited another 20min. nevertheless it turned out clean. Who knows how clean once inhabited by 100 Trojans partition really is, but results are superb and major players seem to be eliminated. I never thought my XP was that bad though. Other partition with my data was virus free. Overall I feel confident now about efficiency of Webroot and glad I made a right decision by choosing it.
