Does Webroot require updating virus definitions frequently?

Welcome to the Community Forums.
 
No, you are good to go...as all definitions, signatures, whitelisting, etc., is held in the Webroot Cloud (WIN) and therefore WSA on your local system is always checking with that so you are always using the latest definitions, signatures, whitelisting, etc.

Webroot is cloud based. There is a huge data base where all threat information is stored. As long as you have internet, you are always up to date. Software updates are installed silently in the background as well.

Welcome to the community Webroot is unlike other antiviruses Webroot works in the cloud which means it is always upto date and does not required you to do manually updates though virus definitions You can find more information at: http://www.webroot.com
