The Brother Status Monitor can display ink levels on a network connected Brother printer.  However, when Webroot is running under Windows 10, it prevents the printer from communicating with the status monitor so that an ‘offline’ message is displayed.  Webroot also does not provide any indication of this blockage anywhere including in the list of monitored programs.  The fix is to use the ‘shut down protection’ option.  Or you can simply remove Webroot and use Windows Defender as a solution.  I am wondering why Webroot  does not have the ability to show the user what it is blocking.

Hello @uprooted

Do you have v9.0.27.49 installed? If so do a clean reinstall and it will put you back to v9.0.26.61 because there are some issues with v9.0.27.49

Please follow the steps closely!

  • Make sure you have a copy of your 20 Character Alphanumeric Keycode! Example: SA69-AAAA-A783-DE78-XXXX
  • Be sure you add your Keycode to your Online Console: Webroot SecureAnywhere Online Console
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Geek Squad Subscription PC users click HERE) Let us know if it is the Mac version you need
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
  • DO NOT import any old settings as you can set it up as you like once it's done

Please let us know if that resolves your issue?

Thanks,
