I have a windows 10 PC, that I use to develop some own applications in Delphi 12.Since about a month ago, Webroot started causing problems with the EXEs that I build using Delphi 12. When linker tries to create an EXE, Webroot blocks access to this file, if it existed before. Thie means that everytime I want to create a new build of an existing application, I first need to either delete the old EXE, or to shut down Webroot to be able to create a new version of this EXE.Old versions of Webroot had the ability to exclude directories. That was useful in my case. Also, Webroot started to interfere about a month ago, I never had this trouble before, and I am using Webroot since 2015.I am seriously considering swotching to another antivirus software, if this problem can’t be resolved. Also, I tried to open a support ticket, but whenever I input my email address and click “Continue”, it just takes me to my Webroot console.I could say, that I am slowly getting really pi**ed off.Can somebody ple
Hello, I’m wondering how big the protection gap or module difference is between Webroot Home and Business Products. In particular I read a lot of announcements around the Evasion Shield (AMSI and Script) scanner and the Foreign Code Shields (suspicious execution patterns) announced back in 2020 and 2021 respectively. Reading through release notes looks like an Anti-Ransomware module is getting pretty close to release as well in 2024 but all 3 of these seem to be for the Business products only.Does the Home Editions contain (or will contain) these additional shields soon?Script Shield has toggle but I assume that is for an older script scanning technology that doesn’t have the more advanced hooks into AMSI like the newer Evasion Shield or am I wrong? Is there a plan to add the more capable Evasion Shield at some point even if disabled to start to avoid false positives? Foreign Code Shield - is this also a Business only Shield? I don’t see any mentions or toggles for something similar in

I have been trying to print out pdf files to my printer but have been unable to do that. I thought that it may have been a driver and spoke with a tech yesterday at HP that went on to my computer and said that I have corrupt files and he mentioned something about a worm. He also started telling me about prices for security for 2- 4 -8 years and lifetime and I didn't feel comfortable hearing that and stopped anything further. He did ask if I had any Malware devices and I said Webroot. I tried to go on as I used this about a few days ago and got the page that said Unable to Connect to Service. Please help !!
I have tried telling Webroot to ignore a DLL through “PC Security > Block/Allow Files”. However, a few minutes after adding this path, if I navigate to another Webroot tab and then back, the pattern gets removed. I know that the path is saved, because I can restart Webroot and the path is still there; moreover, Webroot is not removing all file patterns, only the one that I added, and only after a few minutes. Is anyone familiar with this issue and/or aware of a fix?On a side note, I am only adding this path because the DLL is being regenerated by a Unity project, and Webroot seems to flag that as malicious and prevent Unity opening it. This issue has only started occurring in the last week or two, and is being experienced by numerous other Unity users. Quitting Webroot fixes Unity, so I’m pretty confident that this is a Webroot issue, not a Unity issue. On another side note, the inability of Webroot Home edition to allow folder paths, not just file paths, is pretty laughable. This fe
My dad has Webroot on his PC, but he decided he no longer wanted it. He uninstalled it, but continued to get popups about the software. He has also tried:Removing the software from his registry files based on instructions from a forum post Removing other traces of the software manually from his computer Getting help from Geeksquad who tried helping for 3+ hours to no avail This morning, not only is Webroot not yet gone, it ran a scan on his computer.Could someone point me to a thorough uninstallation guide to remove every trace of the program? Or is there an easier way to do it in one shot?
Any plans on adding other localizations to Webroot products, for example Hungarian? I'm a native Hungarian speaker and could help translating to Hungarian (did a number of translations in the past, see here: My translations )

i am f*g furious with your site and all your dysfunctional processes. And i am HERE because your bloody site makes it impossible to 1. login, or 2. authenticate, or, 3. even open a Support Ticket!!!! The initial problem is that my old email of some 20 years use is now defunct as of 18/09 (sad story) THAT WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM IF YOU DESIGNED YOUR SYSTEM WITH SOME OTHER AUTHENTICATION OPTIONS THAN - ONLY - AN EMAIL ADDRESS THAT DOES.NOT.WORK!!!Does it ever OCCUR to you that most people change their email addresses precisely because their OLD EMAIL ADDRESS DOES.NOT.WORK??????Otherwise people are VERY reluctant to EVER change their email address, because then, like me, they would have to workout and to try and update their email contact details on any unknown number of contacts. in my case, HUNDREDS !!!!!And so many completely stupid sites like yours make it very difficult and time-consuming, or in YOUR case, impossible!!Because of such stupidity and arrogance that is now, completely unn
I create my own Autohotkey macros that I have now started to compile them, but every time I do I set off a ‘Win32.LocalInfect.2 Threat’ alert.I changed the compiler compression from MPRESS to UPX (as general chatter on AHK forums was that the latter was more accepted and less prone to alerts) but it did not change a thing. How can I whitelist my AHK development folder and all its files and subfolders? Tried adding the directories in the ‘Allowed Scripts’ tab both at a high level and individually but once again alerts were generated. Thanks
WebRoot flagged as Mallware the benchmarking tool from https://www.userbenchmark.com/As Win32.LocalInfect.2Ok, but where can I go for more information? Is that a generic sort of concern, or something specific?Based on user reports, automated scanning, behavior?I see online discussion of “Nullsoft Scriptable Install System (NSIS)” as being the cause of the flag. And VirusTotal says: Bkav ProW32.AIDetectMalware.64CynetMalicious (score: 100)Gridinsoft (no cloud)Trojan.Win64.Downloader.saAcronis (Static ML)UndetectedAhnLab-V3UndetectedAlibabaUndetectedALYacUndetectedAntiy-AVLUndetectedArcabitUndetected….ViRobotUndetectedWebrootUndetectedAvast-Mobile Unable to process file typeBitDefenderFalx Unable to process file type

Now I got this new laptop, and betting WEBROOT BLOWS AWAY the previously listed anti-virus programs. When I open Webroot, I see the way to change options, I can click on a SCAN NOW........ But , THE QUESTION.... HOW DO I UPDATE(not set update times, but UPDATE with a click?) HOW DO I SEE THAT The computer ever UPDATED? After owning this laptop for months,no Idea if WEBROOT ever updated........Prolly did,,but no idea how to tell? AVAST and AVG always gave the option to "UPDATE NOW"
I did a pc reset with my files kept, and when it finished, everything was normal. However, once I reinstalled Webroot and it did its system analyzer, it said firefox had a memory leak and explorer had a handle leak. This had never happened before when I did a pc reset, and I didn't do anything different from normal. Almost immediately, explorer stopped taking input, and i turned off the pc manually. when it came back on, it loaded normally, but the taskbar didn't come up, and none of my folders would open, after about 3 minutes, everything started working properly again, but webroot still says there might be leaks, and i'm afraid this might happen again. Am I worried over nothing or is there something I should do? Thank you in advance. EDIT: my computer has become noticeably slower, with some programs not opening properly and needing to close.
I erased what I thought was a duplicate directory of my documents. I am not sure why, but there were about 10 duplicates of my documents directory? Since it was the 1st time I've erased anything with Webroot and worried that all the directories might be connected, I tried to cancel the erase process after it started. After I canceled it I realized it was too late and my documents are gone :-(. My erase setting is at normal. Is there anyway to recover these documents? Appreciate your help!
