Hello. I am one, of the reportedly few people, that has not upgraded to Windows 10, when given the opportunity, and remained with 8.1.I avoid the tile system and installed Classic Shell, in this way my system resembles the old beloved Window XP or 7, systems and I am happy with it.I am not interested in the new features, offered by the new OS’s, I am using the laptop mainly for email and web browsing and the desktop with VS 2019 for a multi-year sw project, plus some OpenOffice sometimes. All these applications will continue to work, but as you know, the support for Windows 8.1 will end Jan 10th , so I am faced with the option, and the burden, of upgrading or not.What we are told is that our system will be much more vulnerable without the security upgrade from MS, but I say “don't I have WSA?”What do I have WSA for what? Can't I count only on the protection offered by WSA, plus the firewall, plus the router?The problem is complicated also because i have an incompatible hw, with Window
Hello Dear,i install Webroot AV on a windows 10 - 64 bit.but windows defender does not disable. after fresh windows and again try for install Webroot. but again windows defender does not disable, and windows security center cannot detect my Webroot antivirus. Thanks,Amir Durantash
Hello. When I click on a button in the main window to discover something on the site, the interface is displayed on the website in Japanese. Previously it worked fine and the site language was Russian. I have not changed anything in the language settings. Example if i click on "Advanced" button (look at screenshot). What's the problem? Is it possible to whitelist network folders to exclude files opened from those locations from scanning? It seems fairly straightforward in terms of implementation. But, I’m just fishing for any gotchas I may not be considering. Essentially, we have some engineers complaining about WRSA.exe slowing down Solidworks when they’re opening large files that live in a network share mounted with a drive letter.

I am getting this MsiInstaller error code 1013 every 15 minutes on both Windows 10 computers. It happened soon after updating Webroot with new key code. Have done this in years past and no problems. Can’t seem to get any support from Webroot when I click on “Help and Support” nothing happens.So to test my theory Webroot was the problem, I got both laptop and desktop (both Windows 10 with current updates) and was watching via computer management screen the error mention above happen every 15 minutes on both computers. On laptop I removed Webroot and started using Microsoft default virus software. No more errors have occurred on laptop for last 2 ½ hours. Still getting errors on desktop. Also, noticed something I don’t remember seeing before and that is a little padlock on the Webroot tray icon. Maybe it’s always been there ? I did set Webroot not to auto update, that hasn’t made any difference. More of the error code info is below: Product: Core -- Unable to install
Hello, So i've never had this problem before. It has just recently started. It has happened a few times. Everytime i perform a manual shutdown on Webroot it stops. A few seconds later it just auto activates itself and comes online again. I've tried going into task manager and stop Webroot processes after i've performed a manual shutdown, it didn't solve the issue. Any help would be great. Thanks

A trojan has appeared on my computer and periodically opens up a sys32 box on my screen. Every time this happens, Webroot warns me that there is an active threat named “TrojanDownloader” and a scan is needed to remove it. However, every time I scan immediately after the warning, nothing is ever found and Webroot tells me everything is fine. I know this isn’t true because the trojan continuously opens the black box every hour or so, yet Webroot tells me everything is fine.How can I remove this trojan?

Hi all,We have a monitoring tool that centrally monitors processes on Windows servers.Since the 23-08-2022 update of the Webroot Agent (v126.96.36.199) remote monitoring of processes on all our servers (2012R2, 2016 and 2019) fails.Disabling specific features of the Webroot agent or disabling it all together does not solve the issue.Only a full uninstall of Webroot solves the issue.Reinstalling a previous version will work fine, with auto-update disabled.However, as soon as auto-update is enabled and the Webroot agent receives the latest update, the issue is back.We already opened a ticket with Webroot support.Maybe someone else experienced the same issue and found a solution?
I just purchased an HP AMD Ryzen 3, and along with it, Webroot internet security w/ antivirus protection. When I try to download the software, I'm prompted to switch out of S mode (which I won't be able to return to), or find a similar app in the store. How do I correctly download the software I purchased without messing up my brand new computer?
Has anyone else received an email from Best Buy/Geek Squad stating that their WebRoot anti-virus software will automatically be credited? I tried to get a response from BestBuy, but their online tech named Kasey said it was a scam and that I would need to pay the full $49.99, and not the $29.99 stated in the email. I was a bit disappointed in their reply. I realize that WebRoot is not BestBuy or the Geek Squad, but WebRoot has partnered with them so hopefully someone from WebRoot or a user in the community can respond to my question and concern. Has anyone else received this type of email and did your subscription renew automatically? Thank you. After a win 10 major upgrade, I can bring up the WSA dialog box but I can’t access any of the settings - like scheduling a scan. WSA isn’t listed in my list of apps. I can’t see it listed via the control panel program list. I can see the .exe in my Programs Folder but not in Programs (x86). I can’t find any way to unistall that .exe safely - I don’t want to just delete the file.I’ve had a service request in place since 7-27-22 with no reply. I put in another one asking for at least a recognition of my request on the 29th - I just read that will put me to the end of queue - bummer.Is there some problem with service that I got no response for 2 days?
Hello - I already had Webroot but bought a new computer that came with Webroot in a package of other stuff. The sales guy said to not worry about it and just cancel it (the package) after one year before the annual subscription fee kicked in. Great. a couple of months before the subscription (with Webroot) that came with the computer expired, I paid my “normal” Webroot annual subscription. Great. Then a couple of months later I cancelled the package that came with the computer. Great, except I started getting a pop-up that says my Webroot subscription is cancelled and I need to renew. Not-Great. I called tech support and explained. They said do not worry, your original annual subscription is still good, valid and working. Great, however, since then I am still getting pop-ups from Webroot saying my subscription is expired and I need to renew now. So, my very long-winded question is: how the heck to I get the damn pop-up from continuing to tell me that my subscription is expired when in
CZUR Scanner, the client software of Windows platform developed by our company, has a blue screen of death when running on the user's computer installed webroot SecureAnywhere, and the user sent the system dmp file.
