Following widespread problems with "Halo: The Master Chief Collection," Microsoft promised in December to release "Halo 3: ODST" free for those who played the game within about a month of release. According to a new post from developer 343 Industries, that release will come sometime next month. Ars Technica does a nice breakdown here: http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2014/04/introducing-steam-gauge-ars-reveals-steams-most-popular-games/ Looks like DOTA2 wears the crown, unsurprisingly.
Looks like you can play cross-platform too: http://toucharcade.com/2014/04/16/hearthstone-heroes-of-warcraft-out-now/ I haven't tried it yet, but heard a lot about it. I was a big MTG fan back in the day so I might give it a shot. Anyone playing already?
Bought a Lenevo Chromebook today and was not aware the free Webroot AV offered with the Chromebook was not specifically for ChromeOS. I really had to ask search which OS version of Webroot I should get because this Chromebook also has Linux Beta on it. So I had to ask Linux or Android. And I read of course after installing the Android Webroot Protection that Chrome OS doesnt even need it anyway? Best Buy had it free so I guess there is no harm installing it.? There is no compatible Web Browser specific AV from Webroot for a Chromebook Chrome OS Chrome browser. Which is odd because Webroot only directed me to a incompatible Web Browser AV to download AFTER the WEBROOT Digital Dowload installed.

But OK, we need Windows 10 first eh ? The latest on that one would be a Summer Release. However on Twitter, MS evangelist Phil Spencer revealed that we are likely to start seeing games that take full advantage of DX12 from the ground up later on this year. Microsoft’s Xbox One Chief Phil Spencer has been talking about DirectX 12 with curious Xbox community members through his Twitter account, and he claims that the console will see games developed specifically for the console by the end of this year. When asked about to comment on the likelihood of developers adopting DX12 natively, Spencer went on to state that he thinks studios will do what’s best for them and that given the fact that DX12 is available on both Xbox One and Windows 10, developers shouldn’t find themselves short of DX12 gamers. The Grand Theft Auto series of video games is no stranger to controversy and with the PC version of GTA V due to be launched this Tuesday 14th April, there are many who would rather it had never been made at all. GTA V was launched for PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013 and November 2014 for next generation consoles. In December last year both Target Australia and Kmart Australia banned the game from their stores and online outlets, claiming that customers were complaining about ‘violence towards women’ depicted in the game and that the game ‘encourages players to murder women for entertainment’. One has to assume that those complaints came from customers who had never actually bought the game then. Full Article
Rumors on the Internet reveals that the PlayStation 4 Jailbreak hack allegedly made by the Lizard Squad would be soon available.
It is difficult to understand right now how true the news, but according to rumors circulating in the Internet the popular hacking collective Lizard Squad, responsible for the attacks against Sony PSN, XBox live and Tor network, is working on a PlayStation 4 Jailbreak that could be released within the year. Although we thought Battlefield Hardline showed superb graphics and smooth gameplay when we benchmarked it during last month's week-long public beta, the pre-launch build didn't quite displayBattlefield 4's wow-factor. The good news, of course, was that Hardline could be played on fairly modest hardware using the ultra-quality pre-set, which enables 4xMSAA and allows 60fps+ at 1080p with either the GeForce GTX 770 or Radeon R9 280X. Developed by Visceral Games and published by EA, the retail version Battlefield Hardline is now available and we are back to rerun all the beta tests along with others to see how the frame rates have changed from beta to retail. Tried to play GTAV on PC and noticed that the Social Club launcher will not load unless Webroot is exited completely (Right click webroot in system tray > Shut Down Protection). Once the launcher loads you can load up Webroot again and the game will run normally without any problems. Just a heads up for those having a problems trying to run the game.

He wasn't much to look at, just a rusting metal box rolling around on one wheel. "I figured I’d challenge myself and come up with the simplest, most generic robot I could think of," explains concept designer Lorin Wood. But looks can be deceiving: over the course of the series, Claptrap has become perhaps Borderlands' most recognizable character. He's even playable for the very first time in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, which launched last week on the Xbox 3
