Fellow Webroot Community members - As you may well be aware (I'll remind you anyway), November is unofficially new gaming console month with both heavyweights (Microsoft and Sony) due to release their new-gen machines within the next 1-2 weeks in the US (this Friday, Nov 15 for the PS4 and next Friday, Nov 22 for the Xbox One). My questions to all of you - are you planning to purchase one of the consoles? If so, which one, and why? What features appeal most to you? What don't you like? What do you still need to see/know before making a decision? To help out, ARS Technica has put together two very useful articles to help compare. You can read them here...and here. Until recently I did not have a problem. Suddenly I cannot update or download game content from Steam. The Steam App reports an error "missing content manifest." The only thing I have been able to get from looking at the Steam site, is that the problem is related to my anti-virus/firewall software.
"Malware" is short for malicious software and used as a single term to refer to virus, spy ware, worm etc. Malware is designed to cause damage to a stand alone computer or a networked pc. So wherever a malware term is used it means a program which is designed to damage your computer it may be a virus, worm or Trojan. Worms:- Worms are malicious programs that make copies of themselves again and again on the local drive, network shares, etc. The only purpose of the worm is to reproduce itself again and again. It doesn’t harm any data/file on the computer. Unlike a virus, it does not need to attach itself to an existing program. Worms spread by exploiting vulnerabilities in operating systems Examples of worm are: - W32.SillyFDC.BBY Packed.Generic.236 W32.Troresba Due to its replication nature it takes a lot of space in the hard drive and consumes more cpu uses which in turn makes the pc too slow also consumes more network bandwidth. Virus:- Virus is a program written

I recently downloaded Core Temp to monitor my CPU more closely, and Webroot always says it has malware. There are a lot of other people who download this with no problems, and I was just wondering if I should be concerned, or if Webroot is just giving me a false positive.
HI :-) I just ordered a Download Version of Secure Anywhere for PC Gamers. The download is named correctly BUT the program it downloads is Secure Anywhere A/V., which is a different and currently less expensive product I have spoken to their Cust Service who was very helpful. They are issuing me a refund. The Customer Service Rep said it might take a few days to fix. Just a heads up.
I'm using webrooot secureanywhere v. 184.108.40.206 After a recent update pokerstars.net won't run. I get error code -2/-6. You're connection to pokerstars update server has failed. i've tried allowing every possible pokerstars exe file with the firewall. i've tried shutting off the firewall. any suggestions to get pokerstars to run? thanks.
Webroot SecureAnywhere for PC Gamers, fully updated, just tried to block Steam from reaching the internet. It said Steam was untrusted. This is the first for me time Webroot has exhibited this behavior with such a well known program. Any ideas why it would do this?
