I want the features of the AV for gamers, but I also want the password feature. If I get the Internet Security Plus version, does it have all the features and abilities of the gamer version plus the password manager? Or is the Gamer version different in terms of speed, use a memory and so on? I love the gamer trail I have tried, but really want the password mananger as well, but dont want to lose the speed and features of the gamer version.
Hello, I'm new around here but finally came to this forum after Webroot secure anywhere hijacked my PC. My subscription has expired but webroot secure anywhere has continued to track malicious software on my computer. Today it found something and every ten seconds it pulls me out of my tab with a pop up asking me how to deal with it. Naturally I can't afford webroot at the moment so I'm forced to click clean up later, however by later it apparently means to keep badgering you until you remove it. I can't uninstall webroot because I cant get it to stop running and I cant do anything on my computer because this stupid pop up keeps interupting me. My questions are: 1 What separates this programm from a the malicious ones it's designed to protect it's users from? I can't uninstall it and it keeps indirectly pressuring me to pay for something I cant afford to reclaim access to my computer. & 2. How do I get it to stop without caving in to paying to renew it? Thanks

After installing the latest firmware update for my Logitech G502 Proteus Core mouse, SA presented me with this: I do believe c07d_g502.exe is a necessary file - possibly the firmware update executable itself. Since it's already been written to the mouse's EEPROM, I'm not worried about it; the mouse functions perfectly even after this false positive. However, it should be addressed...

Hi all, If you use Steam you may have seen dodgy links being pushed on you. In this case a bad Steam link downloads an SCR file. .SCR was originally a Screensaver file extension but it has been increasingly used in recent times to hide Malware. Here in Webroot's Threat team we see .SCR Malware all the time. If anyone wants to peek a little bit into the kinds of things done in Malware analysis there is a good post on Reddit (/r/Malware) from a few days ago where one of these malicious files is deconstructed. When I read about this I checked this file on our Threat Intelligence Network and it was first seen Aug 16 at 18:14 and thankfully marked bad right away. This is because we had rules in place since Nov 6th 2014 that would have kept our customers covered. Stay safe! Kelvin Webroot's Threat Team
