Well, it has very little to do with that. It's a tower defense game called Net Invaders. See, there are nasty viruses, trojans, and worms attacking your systems, and only Cisco security technology can sto
Webroot SecureAnywhere for PC Gamers, fully updated, just tried to block Steam from reaching the internet. It said Steam was untrusted. This is the first for me time Webroot has exhibited this behavior with such a well known program. Any ideas why it would do this?
XBox and Battle.net networks also targeted
By Darren Pauli, 25 Aug 2014 While distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks hosed not only Playstation Network but also XBox and Battle.net networks, it's emerged that a fake bomb threat also grounded US flight 362, while Sony executive John Smedley was aboard. A group (@LizardSquad was tweeting threats and invective in the vernacular of the since scuttled LulzSec hacker outfit, laughing as the PlayStation online gaming network went offline. Online gaming for Xbox Live including the new One and the older 360 consoles was now affected, with connectivity rated as "limited". If you haven't been keeping up with the development of Destiny since it was first announced a couple of years ago, this final launch trailer won't help much in terms of understanding the storyline, which centers on the player character fighting to help reclaim the Earth's solar system after an alien invasion that happened a long time before the game begins. However, there is a ton of shooting, flying vehicles and very angry aliens in this clip, al
If you own an iOS device, you can now download Swing Copters, app developer Dong Ngyuen's follow-up to last year's massively popular (yet quickly pulled) hit game, Flappy Bird. It's free on the App Store right now, or you can pay $0.99 for the ad-free experience. But there's one massive problem with the new game. Where Flappy Bird did a great job balancing simplicity with addictive tough fun, Swing Copters is just flat-out, infuriatingly hard. At the time of this writing, my high score is a whopping 2, and I've read many comments from people who can't get a single point. Here's a video from a Swing Copters 'master' (they get to 5): I You can read The Verge's story about the game here. And if you have an iOS device, download it for yourself and let me know what you think. Fair warning: If you're easily f

We saw the announcement of a brand new theme park simulator, ScreamRide, for Xbox One and 360, as well as fresh looks at several upcoming Xbox One games like Halo: The Master Chief Collection. And hey, Quantum Break looked pretty exciting in motion to boot. But the real bombshell of the presentation was the news that Rise of the Tomb Raider from Square-Enix and Crystal Dynamics will be exclusive to Xbox One in 2015! Tomb Raider has been a mainstay gaming serie

G'Evening, Community & how is everyone today? I have a small question for anyone willing to provide helpful information regarding my on-going investigation with Webroot® SecureAnywhere™ - Antivirus for PC Gamers. Since my installation of the product almost each download I have made has been considered a threat? Adobe Flashplayer, Java 8, Uniblue SpeedUpMyPC etc. I haven't been able to find out what the cause is & where to begin in order to stop Webroot® SecureAnywhere™ - Antivirus for PC Gamers to stop falsely accusing each program being a threat. If I remember correctly it assumed Java 8 was a trojan? I understand Java isn't respected nearly as much anymore within the IT Community & I may get bashed for using it but if the company did that as a joke well Kudos! it was a good laugh. Thank you. Sincerely yours, Heroic_YakX

The Spanish Xbox site listed the console at €349.99 EUR for the Kinect-free SKU, almost €50 cheaper than at present. Curiously, though, the lower price was only visible on the mobile version of the site. Full story
I'm trying to download the well-known framerate and screen recording utility Fraps from fraps.com. When I click the download link, Webroot tells me that this link contains a known threat and blocks it. Can this be correct? Is Webroot overzealously "protecting" me from everything named "setup.exe" that isn't whitelisted? This is my second day with Webroot. I've heard good things, but am I going to have to get used to a lot of false positives?
By John Callaham Capcom will release a graphically revamped version of the first game in its long running Resident Evil survival horror series for Microsoft's Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles sometime in early 2015. The first Resident Evil game was released on the PlayStation 1 console way back in 1996. The revamped version of game, which will also be released for the PC, PS3 and PS4 platforms, will be based on the 2002 remake originally made for the Nintendo GameCube. Capcom says, "The in-game models and iconic backgrounds have all been improved, and a unique "scrolling" camera helps integrate the original 4x3 game into a 16x9 view."
