Hello! I bought a new laptop through BestBuy. With it, came 6 months of Webroot Antivirus. However, every time I try to activate it, it does not show up as an actual product. BestBuy couldn’t help me, so I decided to purchase Webroot on my own. However, when I tried to purchase WebRoot’s “Antivirus for gamers” using this link; Antivirus for PC Games Without Performance Impact | Webroot ; I was hit with a “cannot be processed” error which told me to try my purchase again. So I did. Again, same issue. However, my bank was charged for the original $29.99 cost. Why do I worry I am getting scammed while trying to buy a product promising to help me prevent scams? Please help me figure this out, as it is incredibly frustrating now having to wait for my claim with my bank to finish while still needing anti-virus software. I have been told WebRoot is the best, which is why I am here. But now I am having seconds thoughts.
So I bought a new PC from BestBuy a couple years ago. At the time they offered a WebRoot Secure Anywhere Internet Security for just $10 extra. I said sure why not. I never got to use it because I still has a subscription to Kaspersky. My current AV subscription is ending and I was going to purchase WebRoot based on reviews and I remembered I had this CD case in computer desk draw still sealed and never used. I downloaded WebRoot from the link inside CD case and entered the key, and it says its expired. I never used the key or ever installed Webroot.I looked all over the case to see if it says “this product must be used by X date” but there is nothing. I just spent 30 minutes waiting for BestBuy support and then it said “agent ended chat” after I explained. I had to wait again another 20 minutes and after talking to agent for 5 minutes and getting no answer they signed off.I should get my 1 year subscription if I paid for it.
Bought a Lenevo Chromebook today and was not aware the free Webroot AV offered with the Chromebook was not specifically for ChromeOS. I really had to ask search which OS version of Webroot I should get because this Chromebook also has Linux Beta on it. So I had to ask Linux or Android. And I read of course after installing the Android Webroot Protection that Chrome OS doesnt even need it anyway? Best Buy had it free so I guess there is no harm installing it.? There is no compatible Web Browser specific AV from Webroot for a Chromebook Chrome OS Chrome browser. Which is odd because Webroot only directed me to a incompatible Web Browser AV to download AFTER the WEBROOT Digital Dowload installed.
Hi all, I’m at a bit of a stalemate trying to change some of the settings on my Webroot SecureAnywhere Endpoint. Any time I try to change anything, it tells me that “SecureAnywhere is currently being managed by the Web Console and all changes need to be applied centrally.” So under My Account I click “Access Web Console.” This brings me to an account creation page, but the product keycode that is automatically entered is incorrect. When I try to copy the keycode from my account page, it tells me it can’t copy because it’s hidden. I do see the option under my settings to uncheck the box that says “hide keycode” but of course, I need to do that from the web console, which I can’t get to without my correct keycode. How do I break out of this?
I’ve checked “Do not perform sceduled scans when a full screen app or game is open” in Settings/Scheduler/Scan Schedule. But WR is still scanning while running a game. I don’t need to say that it causes high CPU and disk usage. How’s that possible. And I have Webroot for PC gamers edition.
I have Red Orchestra 2 through Steam. With Webroot turned on, I cannot see the list of multiplayer servers. When I turn off Webroot, the list populates as normal. When I turn Webroot back on after connecting to a server, the game continues to run fine. This problem appeared perhaps 2-3 months ago - before then, Webroot, Steam and Red Orchestra 2 did not cause problems together.
What type of logic is behind offering a free trial of a product, then crippling it by 60 - 70 percent? A trial is supposed to give you a good feel for what to expect, on the chsance you may choose to take the paid route. Normally something like this wouldn't cause me to become upset in any sense of the word... maybe a bit confused and depressed at the state of society this practice demonstrates. But the fact that they've wasted a good amount of my time on researching, downloading, and installing a product that barely functions as intended, is bordering on infuriating considering what could be at stake. Maybe the fact that it's marketed toward gamers makes them feels as if they can half-ass it like so many game publishers and devs as of late. Well, although I am an avid gamer, you've lost a potential business customer. The only reason I downloaded the Gamer edition was due to the fact that it's the only edition that offers a trial - which in hindsite should have tipped me of
Hello, I recently had the rather unpleasant experience of my multiplayer game minimising with the worst possible timing during a crucial moment of the match. Needless to say, it was a bit frustrating. Normally I don't experience any problems at all with programs stealing focus from fullscreen apps, but I do remember this happening at least one previous time due to my Webroot (for gamers, no less!) product popping up the message reminding me to stay safe from phishing online, read the safety report etc. These messages are rare, so don't normally bother me, but considering they're not at all urgent it seems very silly that they forcefully rip the focus from a fullscreen game. This is especially true in a product targeted towards PC gamers that are much more likely to be in such a situation. (And if they're like me, have gone to great lengths to purge their PCs of the annoyances of over aggressive applications that like to interrupt their g

Hi, I'm trying to install webroot, when I double click the installer, nothing happens. I've looked into the list of installed programs, and webroot is nowhere to be found, therefore there's nothing to uninstall. I've tried the installer 22.214.171.124 downloaded from other threads and had no luck. My operating system is Windows 10. Thank you

I've tried 2x Antivir softwares before Webroot & didn't work so now 3x Antivir Softwares deletes the AnkhbotR2 exe. I can't be online without active Antivir & still have 300+ days on Webroot's license. I love Webroot SecureAnywhere cause of it's nice UI design & being very lightweight. So i guess i have to wait for response that solves this problem. That to arrive here at Webroot Forums. AnkhbotR2 is legit secure Software that i've supported with donation & using it almost daily or well until this deletion happened again. I could reinstall the client to same folder & then get exe file back & all settings that i've made are safe, but Webroot would delete it again in 2-10 days :/ There's no warning popup about dangerous software, but just direct exe deletion :/ Please let me know how to whitelist AnkhbotR2. At bottom of this page is section "Bot Not Starting after Update" & there situation is detailed. [url=https://www.ankhbot.com/
