Hi rozz55

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Essentially, a printer itself cannot get a "virus". Viruses per se can only attach themselves to software. However, it is possible for a printer to be 'affected' by a virus if it infects to the software that is used to driver/power the printer functions, etc. or in the case of some laser printers, that have an internal hard drive, it could corrupt the data on that hard drive.

Hope that helps?
