Hello SLD2489,

Welcome to the Webroot Community,

Were you trying to install Webroot on your Mac? What OS are you running? Yosemite? El Capitan?
Hi Sherry, I am on an Imac, with version 10.9.5. I am not installing Webroot. It has been on my computer for at least 14 months. This error message only happens when I am online. It always says if failure persists, contact Webrot support.

Hi SLD2489,

I haven't heard of this issue before and I have been running Webroot on my Mac, El Capitan for 2 yeras or more.. That's is strange that this happening when only online.

I have two suggestions:

Submit a Support Ticket which is free of charge with an active Webroot subscription and have them take a look.

Or and you could try a uninstall/reinstall of Webroot. If you feel technically inclined.

To uninstall Webroot SecureAnywhere, follow the instructions below.
 1. Shut down SecureAnywhere by clicking the Webroot icon  in the menu bar and selecting Shut Down SecureAnywhere. If prompted, confirm that you want to shut down SecureAnywhere.
 2. Open the Finder by clicking the Finder icon in the dock.
 3. Open the Applications directory.
 4. Click and drag the Webroot SecureAnywhere program icon into the Trash  in the dock. A confirming window appears.  Click Uninstall. Webroot SecureAnywhere is now uninstalled.  There is no need to restart your computer.
To reinstall Webroot on a Mac:

You can install SecureAnywhere on Mac OS X 10.7 and above. An Internet connection is required to install the software.

Hope this helps?

Hi SLD2489,

Looks like you have OS X Mavericks v10.9.5, so this version is compaitible with Webroot.

Please let us know how you are doing and if you get this resolved. This would help other Mac users with similair issues.

Thanks!
