firefix 40.0.2 with webroot, webroot icon is already green, cant log in

when i open my firefox browser, the webroot icon is already green, normally its a shaded grey. i am unable to log in, what gives, who can help me. I see that webroot did a update on Aug 18, 2015. Does this have anything to do with it? I have never had this problem before. Who knows what is going on

Same issue here.
 
I opened Firefox and so happens Webroot Password Manager automatically updated from 2.5.0. to 3.1.1. and the warning is no longer there, so I assume it is now signed, but does not function at all and lacks Options menu.
 
WPM has been acting really strangely.
I have the same problem with firefox. The icon & password manager works fine with the chrome browser.

I am afraid that there are known issues related to the WSA extension & its use with the Mozilla browser. These are recent and Webroot Support is aware/is looking into resolving them as soon as is possible.  For more information the thread with most of it in can be found here.
 
Until the issue has been resolved by Webroot and Mozilla, keep in mind that both IE and Chrome browsers are still using the browser extensions for both the Web Filter and Password Manager without problem.
 
Alternatively, you can try to use the Toolbarfix tool as one option...please see this previous thread in which it is described as to where to get it from and how to use it.  This has worked for some user but not all.
 
But we have also heard some reports that a clean install of Webroot, instead of the toolbarfix, may help resolve the issue. To do that please follow the steps below carefully
 
  • Make sure you have a copy of your Keycode to hand!
  • KEEP the computer online for Uninstall and Reinstall to make sure it works correctly
  • Download a Copy Here (Best Buy Subscription PC users click HERE)
  • Uninstall WSA and Reboot
  • Install with the new installer, enter your Keycode and don't import any settings if asked to as you can set it up as you like once it's done
  • Let it finish it's install scan
  • Reboot once again
If this does not help resolve the problem, you will probably want to Submit a Support Ticket and get assistance from Webroot Support.  There is on charge for this for WSA user with an active subscription.

Thank you for your prompt reply and directions. When I have more time I will definitely give this a try. I've quickly become dependent on password manager and hope this gets resolved. Thank you again.

You are most welcome...and we are all in the same boat if we use Firefox. I use several other browsers so and not affected as hard a some.

It gets even worse if when you try to log into WPM that it soon says "Your account has been deactivated".

It is the weekend so please be patient...they can be a bit slower at this time, plus they may have a large number of tickets started all as a result of this and therefore it may be taking longer to respond than normal. ;)
Okay so which version of WPM is the correct one to use? 2.5.0 or 3.1.1? I ask because when reinstalling with toolbarfix.exe it installs 2.5.0 and not 3.1.1..
 
2.5.0 prompts the login screen.
3.1.1. totally does not work whatsoever.
 
So stay on 2.5.0 if possible then?

If it is working with version 2.5, then use that, at least for now  The 3.1 would be the newest one, which is probably not working for most people.  Once Webroot and Mozilla get things sorted out right, then the 3.1 would work again, but if the toolbarfix gets you back to 2.5, then they have temporarily pulled the update to 3.1 offline due to the issue with Firefox.

I am having the same problem with Firefox ver 39.0.3.
 
What I ended up doing was to disable then remove, the password manager from the Add-ons manager.
 
Then run the uninstall from the toolbar fix utility.
Then run the fix-reinstall from the utility.
 
That seemed to fix it.
 
After Firefox updated to ver 40.0.2, the same thing happened and I had to perform the delete, uninstall and reinstall again option again.
I don't know if this will fix it or it will revert back to the solid green icon on the toolbar again that will bring up the web console when you click on it.
 
Password manager and Filtering Extention still show that it cannot be verified in Firefox. Proceed with caution in the Add-ons manager.
