How to properly activate my webroot on my PCs?

How to properly activate my webroot on my PCs?

Long story short - I bought Webroot for 5 PCS. Installed on 3 PCs, activated the key code, created account on webconsole.

But until now - Webroot on PC says “Activate my Account” which is really weird as I have already registered and activated it. Done reactivating it many times from My Account settings but failed

https://prnt.sc/10qijn8

If I try registering it again, says key already registered:

https://prnt.sc/10qjxzc

Please anyone can help? I’ll truly appreciate it!

I have contacted support already yesterday and till now - no clear direction how to solve this very basic issue?

-Jay

PS: Another issue is that on some of my PCs- webroot causes freezes and slow down the PC a lot.

The weirdest thing, is that it:

Says the account has been validated and activated, but still shows activate my account???

Hello @jayodicpa

I haven’t seen this one before but can you please Submit a Support Ticket and they will be happy to help you.

It could take a few days because of COVID!

Thanks,

I have already reached out to them, I activated 3 PCs already but all of them says “Activate my Account”

Though it already says Subscription 362 days??? So I thought it’s activated...weird

Hello @jayodicpa

I will ping the Community Staff to see if they can look into it for you @khumphrey

Also the email address you signed up here is it the same for your account? Webroot Identity Portal if not then @khumphrey will need it via the PM and here is a link to PM him: https://community.webroot.com/inbox/conversation?with=76325

Did you purchase from Webroot directly or from somewhere else like Best Buy Geek Squad? If from Best Buy you need to contact them:  https://www.webroot.com/us/en/home/products/geeksquad-register

Thanks,

I bought directly from the Webroot website..and yes my email here is the same email I registered the KeyCode I bought.

Thanks for helping by the way!

@jayodicpa ,

Webroot support does not work on the weekends, so you should expect a response from them today or tomorrow. If you do not, please reach out to me in private message.

Hi Khumphrey,

Thanks for the reply.

Customer support replied already, saying they can’t open my links as it may be is malicious. Oh wow, now I am the one giving malicious links - it’s light shot I’m using cause there is no option to attach images in the customer support ticket.

Anyway, I’ll give them the details on text now. I hate to say my effort giving more illustrative images got wasted.

I hope it would be nicer to deal with customer support the next time.

It still says Account activation needed. "You need to verify your email address in order to activate your account"

I have already verified 3 email addresses in the web console? What else do I need to do?

@jayodicpa ,

Please send me your e-mail that’s attached to your webroot account in a private message. I’ll ask them about your ticket with them.

Hi Khumprey,

Customer support wants me to call their numbers but I’m not able to call landline numbers here in our province….only mobile number and internet.

Please help, I already have given them the logs….why is it so hard just to activate my account….. :(

@jayodicpa ,

I imagine they want to call because its often easier to communicate over the phone. Is there any way you could accept a call from them?

Note that I did not do the instructions your support team gave me yet - it’s a lot of things to do. ..but webroot is no longer showing the activate my account issue now. So I guess this issue is resolved finally! I don’t know why though.

Thanks for helping @khumphrey !
